The plant grows very easy, if i remember correctly not too much direct sunlight in a hot climate.

Mine just sproutes yesterday. I reccomend soaking the seeds in water for 24 hours prior to planting. The seed shell is extrmemly hard and this will help it germinate faster.

I dont know if this will work with Morning glories, but the way I germinate most of my seeds is:

Get a paper towel and a ziplock bag, wet the paper towel(not soaked, but wet), put the seeds in the paper towell and fold it, then put it in a ziplock bag somewhere and let it sit for a while. Provided your seeds arent contaminated with something, you'll see a sprout within a week(if the seeds are viable and don't rot).

That should work fine with morning glories!

I'm not sure that will work for MG's the way it does other seeds. MG's are EXTREMELY hard seeds and are tought as hell to crack. They need at least a good 24 hour soaking in order to pop. I prefer the paper towel method for many of the more delecate seeds, like cacti, or even MJ seeds, but morning glories need some heavier artillery. So go with the soaking.

Take a file or a knife and put a small cut in the seed, this will help it absorb water and crack easier but do not gouge too deep and injure the embryo. Any potting soil will do, but I would recommend ones that are more actual "dirt" than peat moss. Wait for the plant to grow a little before you use any fertilizer, once your babies are ready, any bloom formula will work fine.

I grow tons of morning glory, and this is how I do it...

I get peak pucks, soak them in HOT water until expanded...Let cool, then drop a little drop of rooting hormone into the peat puck hole...I wait 24 hours then plant directly into the pucks...I drop rooting gel into them prior to planting, so that the roots will be stronger and more robust to push through the mesh on the peat pucks...Then when they show stong roots, I plant into top soil...They grow great!

I'm interested in growning MG seeds too, did you buy them at a nursery? Cause I've looked at most places around that carry seeds, and I can't find Morning Glory anywhere.

i've seen morning glory seeds everywhere i've looked including all my local supermarkets, wal-mart, k-mart etc. if nothing else they should definitely be in a nursery, garden center or hardware store.

seed displays in stores are usually seasonal. unless you are in a warmer climate than i am, you may not find seed displays this early although i just saw one set up the other day in a grocery store.

edit: but at the very least you can easily order them on the internet.

Yes, I do reside in a warmer climate, southern Arizona. And yes I could order them on the internet, but I'm sure I'll find them in a store soon.
