OK, so i got 2 1/4 pint jars.... They just happen to be fully colonized wbs with some good Oak Ridge mycelium
So lets just see what i can do with them
FUN TIME
So I start with about 5 1/2 qt jars worth of wbs. I like to use more jars and fill them up less, just think they will colonize faster

Anyways for the 24 hour soak i added a bit of diluted coffee(NOT TOO MUCH) and some gypsum. You wanna be careful with the gypsum, I add around a tablespoon per gallon of water. Then i let the grains soak for 24 hours. I put them on the burner and simmer them for about 10-15 min for good measures.
Then drain, and lay them out on a towel to dry.

Simmering the grains helps the water evap off the grains and helps dry them just right for you. After you can take a spoon full of grains, tip the spoon and they all fall. Well then you know your good to go. Load my 5 jars up in the PC, set the timer for 90 min.

After they have PC and cooled down overnight in the PC i can take them out and prep my glovebox.

When doing g2g I like to clean the glovebox, then clean it again with soapy water. makes sure everything in your glovebox in wiped down and then place it in the still wet box. I don't wipe it dry. Having all the glovebox surfaces wet with soapy water will help catch anything that might still be floating around. Be sure to clean hands real good and all ways wear gloves wiped with alcohol if your glovebox doesn't have fixed gloved attached too it. On a side note, anyone who has ever done g2g knows the reason why it was smart not to tighten your jars with all your might. It's a MAJOR pain in the ass to get everything ready to go in your glovebox. Only to not be able to open your jars with the gloves on or lack of a good hold on the jar.
Ok now i take my jars and give them a good shaking. You want to make sure not to leave the wbs all clumped up together. notice the difference in this picture, the one on the left has been shaken up.

Now that i got all my jars shaken up i also like to wipe all my jars down with alcohol as i place them in my glovebox, so be sure to get all your jars ready to work quick. Wipe them down and place them in the glovebox, try to get them all in before the alcohol evap. it helps to keep them all in a row ready to go;)

O ya, and make sure you break up your spawn before placing it in the glovebox....

Now after washing my hands, putting on long gloves and soaking them with alcohol i got to work. Make sure to work quickly once you start opening up jars. Dont worry about shaking up the spawn to mix it around evenly. Wait to do that at the end. Here they are after i did my g2g work.

Shake them to mix up the spawn and here ya go.

And here we are 2 days later

4 days later and this is what they look like.

not too bad for 2 whole 1/4 pints worth of spawn to start with.

So its been a little over a week now. i prob got about 3-4 more days then I'll spawn it to some coir.

Sadly i lost 2 to green mold

I will spawn the other 3 to bulk prob tomorrow
So all 3 were spawned to some tubs. They all colonized and have been placed in my fc

I was kinda nervous b/c i had to go on vacation for 10 days now. I really couldn't trust anyone to take care of them for me. So i filled up my cool mist, set my timers. Then prayed all would go well

Unfortunately for our vacation... Turned out to be good for the mushrooms. We had to return home about a week later from vacation. Early BTW, 3 days early. This is what i came home too...

And here is some of the second flush and of the third block.
