No, but it is their personal, conscious choice to enforce them at the expense of our freedom. That alone is damming enough. There comes a point where the just following orders argument doesn't fly.

Yeah. Nothing at all suspicious about that.
Anyone who takes that advice is asking for whatever shit falls upon them.
QFT
Jump out of a car around here when you get pulled over and see what happens
You will at LEAST go to jail for disorderly conduct.
As for my about cops...many of them are good, infact really good people, they just have a job where they are required to enforce things that they may or may not agree with. My mom's friend is a cop and he is a great dude, but a bit straightlaced. Needless to say if anyone was trying to harm somebody (rape, rob, murder, etc.), he instantly would do all in his power to help protect the violated and neutralize the threat. This doesn't mean that all cops are good people at all...I am just saying, that when my mom got hit and robbed a few years ago, I was glad that police officers with good intentions were there to help her and catch the fucker who did it. Druggies quickly lose sight of the good that cops do because they will arrest you for having drugs.

I have had nothing but positive experiences with the police. I've been in about 5 or 6 situations where I very easily could have been arrested and charged, but of those times, I got off scott free 4 of those times and got 1 campus appearance ticket for possession of 2 grams, and 3 parapharnalia. That time the cops were cool as hell and we sat there joking about how dumb it all was, and handed me my ticket with an apology. I dunno, maybe I've just been very lucky

I always say that I don't hate cops for doing their job, I hate that they chose the job knowing what they are going to have to do.

Cops are different wherever you go, conservative small town cops are in my experience the most hungry to bust you for anything they possibly can in the most disrespectful fashion possible... while eating donuts and sucking the dick of chrsitianity.

Like my story shows, it's up to the individual cop to look the other way when it's an issue of personal freedom. Your is totally out of line imo.

Strikes me as right on the mark.

"I don't think the enforcement's being lowered. It may be that they're just writing warnings, in place of tickets so the revenue is suffering," said Retired Capt. Bill Peacock [who] spent 32 years as a DeKalb officer.
Oops... It looks like they just proved that people can be safe, and cops can do their jobs WITHOUT WRITING TICKETS.
Fuck the police. I hope this phenomenon catches on, and the police just run out of money.

Of course the police aren't out most necessary, human beings are a social animal and form social constructs that prevent murder, not because it's wrong but because it's unfavorable to the rest of the community and otherwise would create disorder that most people don't want.
EDIT: Ironic that I said this earlier today since prisoner posted that link. http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/13026003#13026003
