This could be a nerd rant, but fuck it, I'mma do it.

I've loved sharks since I was about 4 or 5 years old. Ever since Discovery Channel came up with Shark Week I've been an avid watcher They'd teach you about different kinds of sharks and tell you about rare sharks and behaviors and whatnot.

Shark Week has become a bunch of shit. All they talk about are shark attacks and how crazy Great Whites are. News flash for the fucktard producers: there are other species of sharks than Great Whites that do some really cool shit. Shark Week seems to be geared at scaring the living shit out of people who like the ocean. Fuck that, shark attacks are roughly as common as being struck by lightning.

Now there's nothing about sharks and their behavior as just... sharks doing their own thing, not attacking people. It's just a shitload of "SHARKS ARE GINORMOUS AND WILL FUCKING KILL YOU OR BITE YOUR LIMBS OFF OR MAYBE KILL A BUNCH OF SEALS AND JUMP OUT OF THE WATER!!!"

Has TV really become so shitty that people only care about seeing other people getting destroyed by an animal that generally wants nothing to do with people? Fuck Shark Week, they ruined it.

This is why I don't pay for cable. My childhood is being raped by the Reality Television Effect. At least Shark Week isn't being hosted by Snookie.

Yet.

Yeah it was. It only lived about 9 months, which is average for Caribbean octopus species. She grew a ton, laid eggs and stopped eating, then guarded the eggs till she died. Eggs were never fertilized so they didn't hatch. And before people are all "awww that's so sad!"... That's what all octopus species do. They lay eggs and stop eating while they guard them and eventually die. Sometimes they will eat their tentacles while they are guarding then eggs.

They are putting a bad vibe on sharks.  They show shark attacks and play that damn music.  They make it seem like sharks attack people just to attack people and that so many people die  a year from shark attacks but then on the commercials, they talk about saving the sharks.  Get rid of the fucking dramatic music they play before people are attacked, and have it be a real documentary, not a documentary with dramatic effect.

I remember watching it when i was a kid and it was awesome.  My girlfriend tried to make me watch it last night and i couldnt do it, it was boring.  They give  a mix message

Me too. Smelled like shit, didn't it? I'd say that was the grossest smelling thing I've ever dissected.

A couple years back this old guy got eaten by a bull shark right in Tampa Bay, not too far from my house.
He was an older man and he had been fishing earlier that day and was cleaning the fish blood and guts off his equipment - and then jumped in the water off his dock to clean up. Pretty much as soon as he hit the water a fucking bull shark gobbled him up.
I believe his wife was outside and saw it happen.

Pretty crazy shit. Moral of the story: don't clean off fish blood and then jump in that water.

And this fucking monstrosity was caught in St. Petersburg not far from where that happened.

They measured it at 8 feet 10 inches. The men didn't have a scale, but they estimated its weight at 650 to 700 pounds.

Yeah Bull Sharks are no joke. Pound for pound they're more dangerous/aggressive than Great Whites.

But anyways, I was just watching a few minutes of Shark Week. They posed this question..."why are sharks becoming man-eaters? Have they found a taste for human flesh?"...LMFAO!! Newsflash Discovery Channel. Some sharks are big as a motherfucker, and they EAT MEAT.

Do the math.
