I have several khat plants about that size. Did you top the plant to cause it to grow out like that? What is you plan to get it to grow more bushy? I know it takes tons of leafs to enjoy this plant and a bushy plant seems to produce many more leafs than allowing it to grow straight up. How old is urs?
I really like how dark green your leafs are. Any general recomendations on growing this wonderful plant?

full sun and top them off, and ask kbg too, his bush is fantastic 
btw kgb, im actually rooting a hardwood khat stem in water and theyre growing roots

my god it takes a lot more khat to get a buzz than i thought!
i was goign to go ahead and top my two khats plants once i saw the beautiful ones above but i didnt have to. about two nodes up from the bottom a new branch is coming out of the plant! this is happening on both of my plants so hoorah i dont have to cut them up.
do you guys grow yours under indoor lights or outside? i do both. they are in my grow closet wich has multiple 26w cfls in the morning and night and then they get put out in direct sunlight during the few hours it actually is on my porch.
god i need to get a place with a backyard.

I hope I'm not thread jacking here mr fizzle.
Those are my two little khat plants, they germinated on 4-19-2010 and 4-20-2010. One of them actually has two branches coming off the bottom the other nothing. Do they seem small for their age?
Tefizzle, do u feed yours often? My leafs are much lighter than yours. I love the very healthy dark emerald green color of your leafs.
When my BAP arrives I may have to try putting some on the unbranched plant.

How do you guys go about taking cuttings?
Just cut off a branch and put it in soil or do use a cloning agent like you would for a marijuana clone?

yes,you have a way better chance of them fully surviving,than taking a hard wood cutting

Do you mean seperate one stem, its leaves and roots from the rest of the plant? And I can just plant that part straight away?

Nice work tee. And don't think I didn't have time for a quick  at those cacti in the background too. Both very impressive.  Have you had the chance to try out your plant to see what the khat buzz is like yet? It looks untouched since the pic you took last year, just wondering.

every couple weeks I top the plant off and chew up all the new growth to encourage branching.
The growth tips are the most potent I believe, they're more bitter than mature leaves, and yes the buzz is very nice.
