Where I live it is extremely cold outside. Inside my house I have a problem with mold. Cobweb mold in particular. My house is huge and is extremely dusty! So, I have been taking my casing outside to fan and mist. First flush is looking good. I have 16 mushrooms and no problem with mold. does anyone else do this?

i'd clean your house. if you think it aint fit for mushrooms to grow in then it aint fit for you!
there must be a small room like a bathroom that you could fully spray down and fan in.

If it's cleaner outside than it is in your home.. open a few windows.. :grin:

Seriously though if you just get one room nice and clean you should be good to go. In the winter (which I'm guessing it is because you said it was extremely cold) you're probably fine fanning air onto your mushies, but in the summer pollen, spores, etc. are floating around everywhere that could probably easily contam your setup.. so you'll have to clean up sometime! :smirk:

Yes, you are right. I am doing some heavy cleaning right now so I am stirring up a lot of dust from the basement. I did not say it was a pigsty, but years of collecting shit has caught up with me. I am cleaning before the warm weather hits. I had a casing ruined by mold and it really pissed me off, and I know that the mold count is low in freezing temps., so I gave it a try.
