Going outdoor...to pasteurize or not?
    #13011669 - 08/06/10 10:38 AM (14 years, 5 months ago)

One last question before I'm on my way to having an outdoor patch.  Is pasteurization of the manure/whatever necessary?  I would imagine that no matter what one does, it will end up with some contaminates regardless of pasteurization or not, so would it suffice to just "add water" as they say, or would a pasteurization be necessary?

what he said.  just make sure you have a good amount of spawn/colonized substrate and you'll be fine.  follow MOE's outdoor tek on this site, works like a charm.

What's a good ratio?  I have about 2 quarts, so should 4 quarts of substrate work ok, or would you do more?
