Okay I'm growing for a long time now.

Alway's have the problem of weak strains.

I have one Equador strain from Una. This strain was from all strains I have the one wich is most easy to grow, and has the biggest yield.

All other strains I have were less. I grew:
PF classic
Golden Teacher
Undomesticated Carrebian
Mazatapec
B+
and some other i dunno the names, the were all smaller and had less yield.

Is the Ecuador the best growing strain???

I feel it is a personal opinion thing....The EQ train is a very hardy and resiliant strain, it's easy to grow a fast colonizer and easy to fruit....most of the others are in the same category.

Okay maybe it's a personal opinion,
but are other factors included?
Like the place in this world. I live in europe in the Netherlands to be precise.
Maybe climate is also one of the factors for fast colonising and fast fruiting. I know that climate is created in the colonising and fruiting chambers to be at optimum but m,aybe there are more factors in the environment wich produce a succesful shroom.

I grew pf Classic from someone from latvia. He grwe them with no problem, I had much aborts and undeveloped shrooms. But maybe is casing technique also something to have in consideration. I alway case in boxes while he cased in jars.

Can someone name me a strain wich can compete with the ecuador and is interested in a trade?

Peace

If I haven't tried that yet.
I think in this cirquit some strains are so weak because of endless use of agarchunks. What if someone puts a print on agar. Grows mycelium.
Than every time the plate goes empty, he/she makes a new agarplate with an agar chunk of the previous plate.

I think strains get weaker due to this. Do I need to seek new prints when I find out that I've got a weak strain?

Maybe it's worth a try to collect as much prints of 1 strain as possible and grow them all out seperately. It would be a good way to see the difference between the prints people have.
