Shroom dust + Honey = Blue honey.
To make more potent, use more shroom dust.
You're welcome.

...sounds like a method of preparing shrooms for eating.
If by "mushroom dust" they mean ground fruits....
I recall hearing of nutrients that can degrade from physical damage. Is there any potency loss from grinding?
I have heard of their being enzymes in shroom flesh that break down active materials when flesh is rended, but that this affects wet shrooms and not dry.

Usually you wouldn't grind up the shrooms, but rather you would use the "dust" that's leftover in a bag. Collect that and then make blue honey with it.
HOWEVER, I do know several people who prefer shroom tea and grind up dried shrooms to do it. There is no *noticeable* potency loss doing this. Also, honey is a perfect preservative so its perfect.

Most of the 'dust' in a used bag of mushrooms is either vermiculite, casing material, or some leftover substrate like manure or coir. Not powdered mushrooms. This is a common mistake amongst people who don't actually grow the mushrooms. You would most definitely want to grind your mushrooms to a powder in order to do this mushroom-honey thing you're talking about. If you do this when they're dry then the powder will remain mushroom colored, or brown mostly. It's only when you add the powder to a liquid that it will sometimes turn that liquid completely blue, in this case, the honey. Not always will it turn blue though.

Made mushroom tea with PE once, after grinding into a super fine powder the water came out looking like windex. I would imagine blue honey would always be blue as well.

You could use Psylio's Psilocybin Extraction to Preservation Tek if you don't want shroom material in the honey.
