Shpongle is good, so is The New Deal, The Malah, Lotus, Disco Biscuits, Bluetech, Pnuma Trio, Eliot Lipp, and a lot more. I never could get into Bassnectar, his music just sounds like infinate womps combined with static to me.
I've been in to everything at one point from classic rock to rap. This type of music is all I listen to now, the instrumental, electronic-based, mystic/spiritual/psychedelic-type, heavy bass, badass shit. I could talk about it all day
So your going to Blackwater I should assume. if so I will see you there my friend. and Seen The Malah a few times....LOVE them

No, I don't even know what Blackwater is (I think I've heard of it), a festival?

Damn, just having STS9, The Malah, and Disco Biscuits in one place is like better than pretty much all festivals imo. Hopefully someone I know will want to go with me, but I doubt it. I don't know enough people into the music scene, it sucks

I've been digging James Blake lately:
Also this is a good remix of an old hip-hop track that might be sort of in your genre (kind of a more uptempo tech-house kind of thing but I just wanted an excuse to post it :P):

Dude if you want some absolutely incredible music to trip to, and I mean INCREDIBLE, then cop "These Hopeful Machines" by BT. The whole album is like a psychedelic trip.
BT spent 4 years of his life creating this masterpiece. Every note, tone, and sound is there for a very specific reason. The album also plays all the way through continously so you can just lie down somewhere, on a good tryptamine of course, and journey through space. I haven't done it yet but I'm sure I would end up crying a couple times during it just because it is extremely psychedelic, its really creative, and the feeling it evokes is absolutely incredible.
Buy it, torrent it, whatever. Just pick it up somehow if you like amazing music.
Oh and if you end up torrenting it or doing something like that then buy it later and support this dude, he definitely deserves it more than any other mainstream artist out there.
Namaste

i'm not knocking BT, i think he's pretty talented, but as far as electronic music goes, all his innovations over the years have been pirated and are pretty standard these days.
His sound is pretty... dated?
also, I seriously doubt it was 4 years of continuous effort... more like he took a long time to release it because he wanted to get it right...
I don't hear anything unusually complex or amazing in his stuff and i have a pretty good ear for electronic music.
I used to listen to BT in highschool, i thought he was the shit.

Yeah Solar fields is great. I've just got his new album, movements, and I'm not disapointed.
