Listening to yourself
    #1298966 - 02/11/03 08:30 AM (14 years, 7 months ago)

its a strange phenomenon to me
i have moments where I just stop belligerently talking and rationalizing in my mind.. and then when all desperation for reason is subsided, my body just begins to communicate with my conscious. This is what it really feels like. Like I'm being told big secrets about myself. And they are things I've always felt, and something (i'm not sure what) just becomes obvious. I can see the framework of my daily life and how I just make all these assignments and attributes to things.

wow this is next to impossible for me to try and explain....

This ultimate voice speaks to me and offers me reflection on the egocentric cycles i've been bouncing around in for however long. There seems to be so much to learn when we are really open eyed and ready for it. When we stop trying so hard the knowledge just comes pouring in. but it's just a matter of time before you become 'too' conscious of whats going on and you're little friend the ego (or whatever you want to call it) steps in and is like "hey! what do you think your doing?"...
then you call yourself a daydreamer... or pass it off as druggy thoughts...

it really depresses me how much a stranglehold my ego has on me, though... i mean, that it's just normal to be that way in this culture. if i concentrate I can just feel its icy grip, shackling me to myself, making me so desperate. this life is desperation. a neverending race, with moments of escape.

oh yea, on a side-note: if you like really trippy atmospheric music check out 'Single Cell Orchestra'

Is it another entity's voice or is it a manifestation of your own brain? Just curious...

YES!
go to that place it is the source, the mystery that YOU KNOW.

We can not ever fully explain  the truth that comes from this source

It is you. And that is enough. I believe this is why people believe god is in us.But it doesnt even matter, because it is still there and still true

If I could ever have my words effect anyone, I would say to them go with that "voice".  Do not be decieved, do not listen to others, Destroy the common consciosness in you, Do not betray yourself, Strip down the walls of deception and hypocrisy, Deprogramm and go beyond, feel the merging of the greatness and deep pride in you cooled and overcome by meekness and love, resurging with new found clarity, open mindeness and great pride in the one..the source which you are a part of.

Go with what YOU KNOW

Im sorry I got all crazy passionate  but WOW read your post again man.
Knowing nothing about you, I suggest if you havent Deeply explored that voice..  Go for it. Always ask it WHY?
Do not fear.. any true force worthy of humanities praise could only be the one true source of TRUTH.

It is in us

The state of mind you experienced is the ultimate awareness. You are not denying anything, or accepting anything. You don't judge anything, yet there is direct attention to everything. To be in that state is one of the best feelings you can ever get! When this happens to me, I just start giggling cause everything just clicks into place, its wonderful

that's the "you" without all the cultural BS, in my opinion.

seems to validate everything, all the ignorance, yup, there's definately a place for me in this world, i have a story to tell, i have a song to sing, it's beautiful beyond doubt or opinion, it's love.
these people enter my life and exit my life and i never even wind up knowing their names, often they're Christian, and they're not the normal hell-fire or sappy-yuck Dr. Phil preachers or whatever you have, and I get real paranoid, like they're some kind of Cosmic Agent or something -they're definately not, they're just Knowers who kind of somehow tell I'm a seeker, and they throw out these parables of sort one after another, and my ego gets real defensive as if though they're attacking it, like it's insulting for me to instantaneously catch on to what I see in them to be the truth, and i make up all these excuses for why i can't do that kind of love, and get real exasperated, and then they just sort of vanish in the distance leaving me kind of tongue tied... and then i think about Bob Dylan or the guy who wrote the Dead lyrics (i'm a bit drunk and can't spit his name out) ah, Robert Hunter, and anyways, the lyrics seem so simple, so obvious, the beauty isn't in the eye of the beholder to me at all, it just is, and everybody obviously got it in them.... but.
follow at all? i'm trying not to second guess myself in these posts anymore and try and structure myself as i used to do in philosophical arguments, i guess i'm feeling it's better for me to be sloppy and uninhibited and immediate than to try and say something clever at all. blessings/cj

Everything is better than it was the last time.  I'm good.

If we could look into each others hearts, and understand the unique challenges each of us faces, I think we would treat each other much more gently, with more love, patience, tolerance, and care.

It takes a lot of courage to go out there and radiate your essence.

I know you scared, you should ask us if we scared too.  If you was there, and we just knew you cared too.

I do that thing too. It is a very intelligent voice. When I do it I always focus on my tummy. And I can find intuitive answers to questions that are worrying me and find peace through them. I can also work out what foods I need in a therapeutic sense. There have been a number of times I have done it and found out later on that the food has a therapeutic property for what I was experiencing.

True, but i say how do you mantain a level of living in society today. To give up, don't fight it and listen. (though ive never had a voice in my head)

Eventually it may get to the point others may see it and lock you in to a mental ward. My mother went crazy, (were talking true delusions) she believes what herself tells her (7 times out of 10, she never makes sense). It confuses me sometimes; i want to follow (minds eye, conceiusness, higher mind) but it gets to a point it becomes impossible to live in society.

Or does true insanity, only caused by a chemical imbalance? is there a such thing?

So i say how does one eat?

Its confusing!

well my voice also tells me theres lots of people waiting to fuck with me if i physically overstep any boundaries, so i wouldn't ever get myself in trouble like that, not that i appear psychotic anyways... well i might sometimes when i catch a scent of human blood

ive come to not believe in insanity... just conflicting personality types?
