High ! This is kinda like my 10th post in this forum A friend gave me a mycelium he was growing and I just made a terrarium using the poor mans way I took some pics so you may say if Ive fucked everything or not First I cut a bottle.Kinda wavy, I am stoned

Here is the perlite in water, at the base of the 'terrarium'

A cap from jar, where I should place the mycelium, said my man

THE MYCEL !

All this construction, placed at a shelf. I close the door of this shelf, the terrarium is in darkness

Please write something I am so excited

Why, don't you want it to pin? Other than that, it looks like a good, cheap, effective terrarium, good job. I'm glad to see that a newbie has simplified their grow chamber.

Looks good for a single cake setup. How were you planning to vent CO2? Does the top come off or did you seal it? I don't know how dry it is where you live but here that would be way too much humidity from that perlite. Keep an eye out for mycelium growing on your mushies....You might have to alter it a little.

I was said to take the terrarium for two hours on light, and to spend some time waving to it. Those are kinda all the instructions I got

That sounds good, 1 - 2 hours of light works great for me. You do need to keep it ventilated though. Fan it twice a day, nothing too severe, but keep the air fresh. And watch for signs of too much humidity, like water droplets forming on the cake after you put it in and white fluffy mycelium growing on the pins and stems

Killer clown, I have found that when using cakes it is nearly impossible to have too high humidity.

That sounds about right. I'd say fan it ( take the top off to allow for air exchange (you only need to take it off for a moment or two) at least three times a day.)
And pinning is when the fruits (shrooms) start to form. This is done by exposure to light, incease humidity, air exchange, and a drop in temp.

well I want that to happen now ! Heres all the story We bought 3 myceliums, he has that hydra pod shit, and he was growing them for like 3 weeks... The supplier told us to expect the mush in the 1st/2cond week, and now were waiting alot... The other 2 myceliums are at his house, I just decided to grow one of them myself.SO if its time for the mushrooms to come out, how should I do that ? Thank you all for the replies

I've had problems with my humidity being too high everytime I grow, just using perlite, not even misting. I live in a fucking swamp though, so mileage may vary...

You just have to maintain these conditions Light: anywhere from 1 hour to 12 hours a day Humidity: 95-100% Temps: mid 70's (Farenheit) Air exchange: at least three a day
Just do this and you will have pins sooner or later, don't ask how long, cause its different from strain to strain, and grower to grower.

cold shock the son of a bitch. stick it in the fridge for a day and then take it out, and keep the temp and humidity explained earlier.
