That link doesn't mention tryptamines specifically. Though I guess seeing as how psilocybin is already very water-soluble, grapefruit juice probably wouldn't have an effect anyway. Is there any more specific info on this? :laugh:

Licorice tea... read it somewhere... don't remember
exactly. Haven't tried it. If I want a stronger
experience, I ingest a larger dose. No sense in
mixing another chemical and risk interaction. IMHO.

Stay awake for about 24-48 hrs before dosing....Notice how when you don't get any sleep, you start to naturally hallucinate? Speed and Meth users know what I'm talking about...So when you consume a dose of shrooms afterwards....boy will you fucking FRY.....not recommended for the amatuer user of course.
Other than that...trip in a dark room...you'll get much more visuals....and blast some wild ass intense music of your choice....then you are in for the riiiide of your liiife =)

a everyday fruit that we eat here in Brazil is THE greatest thing to make you trip better...better meaning a more calm, relaxed trip.....
it's calld "Maracuj?" and i found the name of "Passion fruit" in the dictionary.....the scientifiv name is Passiflora incarnata L.
your trip is gonna be very smooth and you'll feel great "waves" of happines...
if you're afraid of getting in a bad mood while tripping, this is definitely (sp?) the best option....
and it's also natural, what, for me, is a must be...
I don't have anything that is not COMPLETELY free of "chemestry" the 48 hrs
before the trip....
well, i'd strongly suggest to do that....see if can can get the natural juice made of it, or the actual fruit itself....eat about 10 pieces of it, or have a full glass of the natural concentrated juice.....and have a nice fly....

Great point! However, drug combinations have there place.

Some of the things that have been submitted as "trip intensifiers" in this thread are things that will juce your brains royaly regardless of the shrooms. That's fine, keep your ideas comming. However, what I'm looking for specifically are practices and cominations used in the pursuit of higher "meditative" and reflective states.

I believe you 100%!

Passifloras contain beta-carbolines like HARMINE (no harm done!) and these are exactly the same Monoamine-oxidase inhibitors as found in Syrian Rue!!!
So in a way you're doing the Psilocybin equivalent of Ayahuasca!
Didn't know it was in significant quantities tho, so: is it a DISTINCT difference?
Really wanna try that, if I'm allowed to dwell in the land of Psychedelix once more :smirk:

Well, doing some quick net searching, I came up with this:

It seems that Passionflower Extract is indeed used to intensify mushroom trips. I don't know about the fruit. So perhaps Passionflower Extract (which is sold as an herbal dietary supplement at stores, unlike Syrian Rue AFAIK,) could be a viable replacement? I definitely intend to try this.

Also, does anyone know of possible interactions between MAOIs and Grapefruit Juice?

Marijuana the delightful plant with a bountiful journey packed in smooth smoke.

THC-8 : Psychedelic chemical found in sativa, african, tropical type strains. Is MORE potent then THC- 9 or THC-3. Due to the increased potencys THC-8 is found in smaller amounts.

THC-3 : gets you stoned
THC-8: makes you TRIP! (some strains have larger amounts of this, often misteaken for PCP or something)
THC-9: makes you (uplifting) high, energetic

The mind/visual journeys in THC-8 are amazing! Sometimes it just tripps out the mind, sometimes just visual, sometimes both.

Try Nevilles haze, nebula, Silver pearl, trance, hawaii strains, ultra skunks, hidu kush, maui also contain THC-8.

I find the things that most intensify shroom trips are....... more shrooms  :laugh:  But actually, IMO, it's all setting.  I don't know if any of you saw the post about the washing machine box with the blacklight and blacklight paint in it, but if I was in there, I'm pretty sure I could trip sober.

When i was in Amsterdam i noticed that in all the smartshops, in the zip locks that had the dried shrooms in to sell, they had written on a paper on the zip lock that with many grams of pure vitamin C you can make the trip more calm.
So vitamin C does NOT itensify the trip.

ANy sort of vitamin C supplements have been known to help enhance the intensity of a shroom trip. This includes taking the raw vitamin.


People also consider chocolate/caffeine rich substances but I'd say it is only adding another effect of the stimulation of uppers.

I always knew smoking weed helped. It would always add another level on the trip, and often serves as a furthering off into your trip. They just seem to match up really well.

Food with really sharp, pungent flavors can also stimulate a trip for whatever given period that the flavor lasts. E.g., hot sauce, warheads...

something i like to do is stand on my head against a all with my entire back and feet against the wall andwall and do some 'inverted pushups' usually about 10 is all i can dish out when im trippin hard but when ur done the room goes krazy =)

if you eat about 10 of the fruits, I'll be calm enough to trip well....\
Try to find the sweet one to eat or the sour one to make the juice (mix the juice with the mushrooms and the nasty taste will go away with enough sugar)

it's quite easy to cultivate it and it's also a great trip toy....
the tree, while having visuals
and the fruit itself, while you're heading up to the peak

meditation, maracuj? and plenty of oranges....that's the perfect trip foe me
marijuana.....I personally wound't smoke WHILE tripping, but I'd surely smoke it to make it easier to get inside the mushroom world....

Speaking of inverted pushups.... I'm a very physicaly active guy. I've noticed a post-peak phenomenon several times I've tripped on shrooms. When I'm on the downward slope I often find myself compeled to start cranking out pushups, body weight squats, situps, shoulder presses, etc. Just getting my blood pumping and my muscles pumped makes me feel great - like a big, happy animal.
