Those are good conditions for hunting at that time.  You're not supposed to discuss weather in that detail ftr.

I'm curious, what's with the 'don't talk about the weather' thing? is it merely not to bring bad luck or....?

Since these aren't my rules I can't speculate but I agree with not getting into details regarding specific areas.  The lines are a bit nebulous, nbd.

&x@u2 Gazz.  I quite like looking in an evening light if there's been some sun or a drying wind so the libs are pale and stand out.  When they're wet and green daytime is better.  Horses for courses though, atm I spot little libs in short grass very easily but don't much spot the bigguns in the long grass; whereas on a walk with friends they picked quite a few in long grass.  Probably something similar with time of day.  You shouldn't attempt hunting in the dark.  Americans do that because the cops can like kill you for smoking a weed or something.

just got back from a walk through local fields and barely saw any fungi at all :frown:, it was all land i haven't looked on before so im not too disappointed. i should check the horse fields where iv picked before but every time the horses see me they all start getting very larey and walk me down until im out of their field!

might report the horses to the council because its a public footpath and the horses can be quite intimidating!!!

While we're on this topic, how widespread are cyans? I know mikey found some in his garden last year but generally is it worth checking out habitats or are they a rarity?

Plenty of libs about today on the lower levels, more than I've seen before.

They seem to grow in abundance near where I am. I found them very late in the season too, I think they start a bit later than libs.

Anyway, glad the forum has piped down a bit.

midlands update: 1 solitary lib found at 200m altitude. this was quite far south, halfway between birmingham and oxford(ish). If metcheck is correct then next weekend should mark the start of the proper season for me.

I think this is my first post, what a great first post it'll be xD.
I'm 18 from Glasgow by the way.

I've been walking around my local fields in the last few weeks trying to get used to the weathers effects on the fungus, hoping to one day find some decent shrooms.

Today I got a free sample of aMT and decided to eat 25mg and go on a walk. I was in drastic need of a psychedelic holiday away from the world of uni and work. When walking I found a spot I found offered superb visuals, so I sat and rolled a cigarette and put on some immortal technique. Within a few minutes the first liberty cap (what I think is one) came in my vision. I picked it and immediately started dancing round the whole field in psychedelic euphoria picking more libs. I got a bit carried away and ended up picking a few which probably aren't libs, and I took a shit of of photos because I got all excited about my first post! I've also got 3 PF cakes in an incubator waiting for signs of growth xD.

ALBUM : http://img185.imageshack.us/g/spa0044f.jpg/

So can you lovely people what's what with all these? Pics aren't the best, was too flipping for photos. Pretty sure I know what ones are libs, and the rest (most of) are probably just lookalikes I picked up in sheer euphoria. Guessing I got enough for a low dose trip here, need to wait till the serotonin s built back up though and got work tomorrow, gutted.
