I have the Extreme Q and Ive been vaping at 180 Celsius then crumble/mix it and bump it up to 185 to finish.

But I use the elbow pack technique with the whip.

if you dont know what that is just crumble your weed and put it in that little screen in the glass elbow, but dont pack it too hard and youll get awesome rips

Forgot to mention The elbow pack works best with the whip.
Thats when you get the thickest hits.

Just get your first vape?

I'm using a VaporCannon 2G hands free whip style, got it for $100 with free shipping and a free grinder

Works just as good as a volcano and is cheap as hell.

Gotta love vaporizers, healthy and saves a lot of weed!

and i usually start around 350f atleast..

slowly raising the temp with each bag cuz it needs more heat to make milky vapor

Do you ever smoke hash in it?

Also, can you use oven bags as replacements?

Yes and yes.

but I usually mix it in with weed also so it doesnt go through/clog the screen.

oh and I also recommend buying rubbing alcohol for cleaning the little screens which you will need to do weekly especially if your an everyday toker to keep the hits most efficient.

Here's my baby:

Da Buddha Vaporizer. I have a custom mouth piece for it.

I can't wait for my room mate to get his glass-on-glass dragon bong back from his former land lord when he has the cash. We're going to have them hooked up together all the time.

I loaded it up with ice and water when we partied at his house and I brought over the vape. It was like inhaling the air out of the freezer and you could suck down massive hits. :awesome::thumbup:

Dude 6 or 7 bags in an extreme Q will wreck you.  I'm good with like 2 most of the time, and with decent weed you get 2-3 really good bags out of a bowl, then a few more OK ones.

Congratulations.

I got myself a VaporBros vape a little while ago from a guy on craigslist. Shitty thing is on my way home from buying it I started feeling sick, hit the vape when I got home and then had the association of vape=sickness for the next week and wouldn't even want to hit it

I'm past it now though :vaped:

I'm jealous. That Arizer has a better glass-on-glass connection than the DBV. Whenever I have people over and 6+ people are hitting the vape, the wand almost always gets pulled out and sometimes hits the table.

With a high this clean, clear, and relaxed I honestly cannot see myself going back to smoking, and if I do, it will be on rare occasions.

I'm in love :vaped:

Is the high really that different? I know everyone always says that, but is there that large of a distinction?

I hope there is because feeling foggy in my brain is the thing I enjoy least about Cannabis.

Most people put their vape poo in a glass jar, so a mason jar would work fine.

Why aren't you going to cook with the poo? I wouldn't think that you would get a lot of hash from it.

I think the most underrated part of usig a vaporizer is the lack of smell. I can vape anywhere, anytime with no worries

Butter was what I was thinking. You have to add more then to the recipe then if you were using bud or shake.

Here is a link that talks about vaped weed butter, and has a recipe for it on the first page.

If you like firecrackers you could always make those, but you would have to increase the amount of Cannabis.

Hot chocolate is an option too, but it uses a lot of weed.

Ive been collecting my AVB in a peanut butter jar.

Probably going to use it for edibles because I read that its supposed to be more efficient than solvent extraction for smoking.

THC vaporizes just over 400F, the other cannabinoids vaporize at higher temps (450F-490F). This is why the high from a vaporizer is so clear headed. you get very little other, more "foggy" compounds.
my friend had an arixer extreme that i used to smoke out of many times daily, and the temperature that we decided was best for use with arizer extreme is 455F (bag) and slightly lower with the whip. this way there is enough excess heat to vaporize any particularly stubborn THC particles stuck in the plant but isn't a high enough temperature to compromise the high with the other less desirable (to some) cannabinoids.
I actually quite enjoy these non-thc cannabinoids. As others on this thread have already stated, you may choose to make cookies or something but IMO hash oil is a FAR better choice for used vaporizer scraps. then you can use the hash oil in your edibles if you choose or smoke it. (the high is very different; an ideal bedtime smoke)

I've done this before.

The iso hash was about as good as resin. But it was thoroughly vaped herb.

25 grams of vaporized weed - ISO Hash

Do you guys hook your vape up to a bong or something to run it through water? I heard that even though your aren't smoking the vapor can still be bad for you after awhile. The heat of the vapor dries out your lungs, which can lead to infections or something like that.

I will post a source later.

Hooking a vape up to a bong is amazing, you can take rips that would just be impossibly large through direct draw.  Those will make you cough your ass off though.

I also highly suggest making a tincture out of your vaped weed with drinkable high-proof alcohol as here.  I find making iso hash out of it leaves goopy tarry shit that's hard as fuck to scrape and transport.  I've tried to make edibles and maybe we just suck at cooking but the food always had a heavy aftertaste of vaped weed and it was :puke:

That is the one downfall of DBV, people get really stoned and pull out the damn wand and shatter it on a table.  I don't really vape with many other people so its not a problem for me, but it could be a huge problem that like to vape with a group.  I'll have to post a pic of my DBV setup with my new luke wilson bubbler... :vaped:

Anyone put orange/lemon zest or mint in their vape with weed? Supposed to make shitty tasting weed better. Or just the zest/herbs alone could be tasty.

Smoking. It was when I was starting to smoke. Me and my friends had a 20 sack and I was like lets smoke it all today! They were like ok yeah right whatever. I don't even remember taking some of the hits I took. I then threw up, and for the next hour I thought everything was a dream because when I would blink it would be black for what felt like 20 minutes.

At that point I was convinced that I was going to be stuck like this because time was going soooo slow. Eventually things got better, but I was kinda traumatized for a bit.  After that the rest of the day was fine though. Now, I like to smoke a little and see how high I am and go from there. Lesson learned, you have to wait for it to hit you first before you smoke your brains out.

I know this is a double post but whatever.

If you need to clean the whip or the bag because it gets resin in it, wouldn't that mean that resin and build up is still getting into your lungs?

its not the same thing

black tar resin =/= vapor resin at all... but you may get SOMETHING in your lungs, but whatever it is, its considerably less damaging and not irritating the lungs

Just to add to the above review, Vapir make shitty vaporizers and to top it off they're an even shittier company.

This works well, but I want a new one. I don't know which is the best for my buck though. Looking for convection models with temperature control only, at decent prices, preferably with quick heat up time and less noise.

There's a stack of quality models that fit your description,

"Log" style vapes:
-Purple Days
-Purple Days Pandora kit (DIY model, very popular)
-Myrtlezap
-Woodeez

Whip style:
-Vaporbrothers
-Vaporwarez Vaporcannon
-DaBuddha
-Silversurfer
-Extreme (does bags too)

Waterpipe style
-Vriptech VHW
-Herborizer
-VapeXhale Cloud (soon to be realsed)

I dunno what y'all are talking about saying it doesn't smell. Mine REAKS up the place, except it smells like fresh nugs and not smoke. People who don't know better would think you're growing or dealing.

That's mainly your Vapirs leaking.

Fresh vapor is very strong and lingers, exhaled vapor is weak and dissapates very quickly.

Glad to see another satisfied convert--

I've had a vaporbrothers for coming on around 4 years now-- nothing fancy, wood wedge with a ceramic element.

Lemme tell you, it never gets old. I have gotten 4 or 5 friends hooked into buying their own-- EVERYONE that tries it loves it.

And, wait till you get adventurous and vape something special, like DMT---

Oh yes-- yes you can

In the market for a vape so just wanted to hear what you guys think.

Depends my friend. If you vape it till it burns almost black, you probably won't have much of anything worth putting in, but if you vape it till a ligher-medium brown then you could definitely throw it in there..

If you try the black, it'll just make your vape smell like shit, but the brown is still good if you have enough, it'll get you high but it won't taste as good either

I don't cook it though, I just vape it till right before it gets black so I use it all. Cooking vaped weed always gives me a disappointing high, if you could call it that, but I guess if you had a lot of light brown you could cook with it and hahve better results than me

I just vape mine to a dark brown then toss it, defeats the point of vaping to smoke it and I can't cook it at my house so I'm forced to waste it.

Oh no, I don't mean smoke, I never get it high enough on my vape to get smoke, I just mean a very dark brown basically to which nothing is on it really worth saving IMO..but you can do whatever you want

I've had a volcano

I'm using a $100 whip style box vape.... works like a charm like any other vape. I've used a lightbulb when I was younger and the better vapes are worth it

Add to some everclear...

Vapor Bonging is where its at. Vaping makes me so happy but at the same time so sad. No one appreciates it. No one I smoke with can even tell the difference in highs between different weed. Ah maybe I'm just an elitist.

Girlfriend?
I live with a guy.
My girlfriend doesn't actually like the vape because she says it makes her tired, which doesn't make sense to me.

I :heartpump: my vaporizer.

It's a Vaporwarez Cannon 3G just like this...

http://www.gotvape.com/store/vapor.warez.vapor.cannon.standard.php

I have the standard whip as oppose to the Hands-Free whip. I don't like the hands free whip at all. Holds the bud to close to the heating element. Sometimes it gets stuck on. I think it's prone to burning the bud. Every time I've tried a hands-free whip I haven't been anywhere close to as satisfied as I am with my standard whip.

My vaporizer has been in commission for over 4 years. My roommate had it for one year and I've owned it for the past 3. Still goes strong. Never had a problem. I stand by my Vaporwarez for life. It's a great device to have, it's just like the Vapor Bros. Relatively cheap compared to other vaporizers.

The Extreme Q is GREAT. My friend has one. The only complaint I have is that it needs a valve system for the bags. Otherwise, that vaporizer is the shit!

Volcano Vaporizers... they're great and all but way overpriced. I think people can save their money and be just as happy with another vaporizer.

As for the Vapor high... it's the best. Creeps up on you. Very heady high. Lasts longer in my opinion. I don't get as burnt out from it if I vape in the middle of the day (which is very rare nowadays as I like to do all my school work and work-work before getting high just because I think do my work better and faster sober and it creates a little reward system.) The last thing I do every night though is vape a bowl in my vaporizer and lay my head to sleep after reading, listening to music, or watching a movie/TV show.

Vaporizers are also one of the best ways to conserve nuggets along with bongs.

I could go on and on about Vaporizers... Bottom line, true Marijuana connoisseurs should own a vaporizer to gain a true appreciation for the nuggets they are inhaling. The taste is truly amazing. Health benefits. Vaporizers are the best. There are so many good reasons why one should get one and get into it.

Having said that, I DO enjoy smoking blunts as a communal past-time. Smoking is good with company but vapors when I'm solo.

I'm not even high and I'm ranting.

Okay.

The end.

I agree.

I rotate the whip like crazy on the element, hands-free directs the majority of the heat to the center and even with stirring it still won't beat the standard.

It's just a marketing gimmick for lazy stoners but in the end is worse for the actual functioning of the vaporizer. Self-defeating. It's probably a cheaper and easier design to make too. Oh well... Real heads know that the standard whip is what's up.

C'mon-- I've been vaping for years, but sometimes it's nice to light up some A+ bud (definitely not dirtweed) and enjoy the unique pleasure of smoking--

I prefer smoking over vaping. A bong gets me higher than a vaproizer.

But vaporizer highs are great for wake & bakes. The high is a lot more clear headed and clean feeling. It's nice. :vaped:

Their vaporizers are terrible, they have shit vapor production, they leak, have a plastic taste and break very easily (through normal use).

I would never recommend a Vapir product, NEVER.

I am so PUMPED to get the Launch Box. Should be here in about a week.

I have to say if you have a vape with a whip get an attachment to a bong. It makes the whole process infinitely better.

I never really understood running a vaporizer thru a bong.

Sure it will cool the vapor down, but there is no tar to be filtered out and the water will filter out small amounts of thc.

The THC loss is almost negligible when vapored through water, but you can always drink the bongwater (Its actually pretty tasty, like vape flavored tea, the exact opposite of disgusting brown smoke water)

The reason to use a bong with a whip vape is that it allows you to take FUCKING MASSIVE rips that you wouldn't possibly be able take just through the hose.  While vapor is much less harsh than smoke it can dry out your throat if you're takin too big a hit, the bong cools it and lets you suck it down with no problem.  Especially with ice, everyone needs to try that too.  Its like sucking delicious winter air.

Only downside is your bowls will go quicker of course :gethigh:

But for the mind-dissolving hits you'll be able to easily take its very very worth it.

i ALWAYS use my volcano with my bong.

the mouthpiece fits into the downstem perfectly and it makes the hit super smooth.

vapor can be really dry and irritating sometimes

Has nothing to do with harshness. The bong gives you MUCH more pulling power allowing for much bigger hits. I would say a bong hit is roughly 3 times more powerful than the average hit I can get with just the whip. Any THC loss is minimal. I'm getting higher in the past week than I have since I bought the thing two years ago.

That and hitting a bong is the coolest way to get high. I've missed it and am happy I can rip bongs once again. Just no smoke :vaped:

Vaporizers are not a perfect science and despite being significantly healthier then smoking there are still unwanted by-products in your vapor.

Vaporbongs = cooler/smoother and larger hits in addition to bongs just being nicer to inhale out of.

As for THC loss with vaporbongs, there's no study at the moment, THC is not water soluble. The study about THC loss in bongs was done with smoking and there's been plenty of dicussions on WHY THC is lost in the water despite being not soluble... so far the best answer I've heard so far is that THC sticks/gets trapped (or similar) to the various particle matter in the smoke, which in turn gets trapped in the water... trapped by association :sherlock:

Being that vapor is predominantly clean THC/actives, one could hypothesize that the non-soluble THC passes through the water unharmed.

In everyones personal experience (including myself) that I've talked to, vaporbongs DO get you just as, if not higher then non filtered methods.

I have the hands free Vapor Brothers, I really like it but I tend to just use a one hitter most of the time because it is so much quicker. When I sit at my computer I will break out the grinder and vape, but most of the time i just don't have the time for the process of heating it up and loading.

Heatup should be under 5 minutes shouldn't it for the VB? Or do you have an older unit?

I have a newer one and it takes about 3 min, but a one hitter takes 10 seconds

You don't have 3 minutes to spare?

1.  the spent weed can be saved then soaked in iso, then strained to make a alright oil...  the lower the temp u use, the better the oil will be...

2.  i use a bong + vaporizer too... the reason for me is my one vaporizer directly heats the weed, this caused the vapor to be very hot , and makes you have a sore throat after like 3 sessions,  with the bong it feels sooo much smoother and much cooler!

3. im off to get high

I would never use a one hitter vaping or smoking.

Here's the best reason for getting a vape. I buy an eighth for two weeks whereas my friends buy a dub a day.

Vaporizing never saved me that much herb. I'd always vape just as much as I'd smoke.

My pipes and bongs get used way more than my vaporizer.

Still  the vape tho.

Do you just have a very high tolerance? I can take one vape hit through a bong and shut everything down. I usually don't but I'd be high enough for my own purposes to do so.

Furthermore I don't see why you're even vaping. Why vape if you are going to smoke too? What's the point?

Sometimes the clean and clear vapor high is a nice change of pace.

I also like the taste of vaporizing. :stoned:

Fair enough. You'd get more out of it if you vaped more often. I didn't see a HUGE drop off in tolerance until I started just vaping. I haven't smoked weed in about 6 months now and it feels great.

About to vape myself up right now :vaped:

I am so PUMPED to get the Launch Box. Should be here in about a week.

I have to say if you have a vape with a whip get an attachment to a bong. It makes the whole process infinitely better.

Excellent choice.  You can't beat the Magic Flight Launch Box if you want a portable.  Tiny, extremely discreet, and produces vapour in under 5 seconds. You'll be getting ripped in places you could have never imagined.

Over on Fuck Combustion the MFLB thread is about to hit the 5000 post mark, and I believe to date there has only been a single dissatisfied user - and he was a total dick with no clue.

Mind you that battery has to go in the other way to give power, but the latest model has a push-back ring inside so it'll lose contact when you release pressure.
