Over watering cakes?
    #1293810 - 02/09/03 02:16 PM (21 years, 11 days ago)

Alright, first things first, my terrarium is set up like this..

-(around) 60qt rubbermaid
-4 16 ounce solo cups with a bubbler in each
-a 32 ounce plastic cup with an aquarium heater in it (the temp stays well below 70 without it)
-a big tray above all the humidity shit for the cakes to rest on
It gets fanned 2-3 times a day

So now for the question.
Is there such a thing as too much humidity for cakes? Ive got 9 in a terrarium at around 75 degrees F and the humidity is high. There is a lot of condensation on the walls (and I mean a lot). I think it may also be condensating on the cakes (Id assume thats possible). Could that be the reason there havent been pins on these cakes yet?
Its only been like 5-6 days but I figure if this humidity could be a problem I should fix it now rather than have soaked cakes.

Thats the problem though, no pins. I may just put it on a timer 30 min on 30 min off. And possibly adjust it as nessicary.
