speed=increased ease to think
    #1293108 - 02/09/03 10:38 AM (14 years, 7 months ago)

yesterday i went to disneyland while shroomin and while on space mountain and thunder mountain i noticed while moving really fast i could think clearer. its as if while i was moving fast everything made sense. i could think efficiently and everything fit in. i would contemplate a quesiton before i went on the ride and by the time the ride was over i could have a solution with it. could moving fast actually increase our ability to think?

Isn't quite as it seems?
What if all the world you think you know,
Is an elaborate dream?
And if you look at your reflection,
Is it all you want it to be?

i thought it was going to be about methamphetamines.
and i agree i think alot better when im walking or riding in a car, i think its because moving changes the scenary and stimulates the mind but isnt distracting enough to take you away from what you're thinking about.

Interesting. Science knows time and space are related very closely. And I know that your rate of thought creates your sense of time. So if space goes by fast, then possibly so would thought...hmm.. No wonder the time I think most is in the car.

I've thought about this as well...... I think acceleration is actually good for our brains :smile:

This is part of why people enjoy skydiving and driving fast cars and such.

not to bust a bubble, but i don't think that can be made into a general statement... while moving fast, 'in a car' did not make me think clearer... actually, i don't like moving fast, especially while trippN hard... i also did not find it easier to think but more distracting actually...

but on the off trip... i think that going fast puts you in a mindset of fast thinking....just think of the reflexes your brain must have while driving.. i know that i personally have manuvered in a car which i didn't think i could do.. but it was instantanious thinking i guess...

Funny, I was thinking about the exact same thing while in the shower this morning. Perhaps this would explain the age old saying "time flys when your having fun"

I was reading Promethius Rising by Robert Anton Wilson. Somewhere in the book it said that people found it very hard to seperate the meaning of space and time when the words were created.

supposley the more you think the slower time passes by i believe...makes sense cuz when you are shrooming time passes by very slow. time is a measurement between 1 event and another. i guess it could also be a measurement between thoughts. but then again when you shroom there isnt really "thoughts" its just like 1 big thought that continously flows
