Anyone ever get their palm read?
    #12916871 - 07/18/10 07:28 PM (13 years, 8 months ago)

I do not believe in this kinda stuff but since my cousin wanted a palm reading, I got mine done too for the hell of it. At first the lady was spot on about who I was and the type of person I am... but when she talked about my future, everything she said was wrong... in my eyes at least! First she said I had a girlfriend, which I dont. She then said there is a girl that still loves me, which is true... but I would NEVER in my life try to go back with that girl. She asked me what I wanted to do for a career and I said nursing... She said I should spend more time in school to be a doctor in the ER!!! and lastly she said I was gonna get married once at 30, stay married to the same girl for life and have 4 children!!!

Im not going to school for 8 years to be work in the ER, Im not getting married in 4 years, especially to the girl who is still in love with me... and 4 children is too many!!!!

But none the less, I had an interesting time. anyone else got any fortune teller stories?

I had mine read once. It really fucked with my head at first but overall as time goes on I'm pretty sure it's all a bunch of bullshit.

Reading palms mainly seems like a drunk party trick to me. Drunk people are astounded by it every time. lol

I've known 2 notable psychics in my life, one is the great uncle of one of
my cousins, the other was an old woman that was a friend of my best friend
both were 'advisers' to jimmy carter, Doc Anderson, the man never gave me
personally a reading, but we talked a few times... he was also the one that
'taught' the renowned psychic Jean Dixon

the old woman and her daughter both gave me readings, both were completely
different, the daughter gave me a reading similar to yours, neither was
right... luckily I never had to pay for this crap

Doc was an interesting character, he was a bull fighter and a strong
man, he made a great many predictions, one of which was world peace by
2000... as we can see, that never happened

he died in 1980 when he got out of his car in a flood...
I guess he didnt see that one coming either

there is some sort of accuracy to it but I'm pretty sure it's in the way they ask the questions so you reveal significant parts of your personality to them. then they can just tell you what you want to hear.

the rules of it are pretty intriguing though. like the shape of the hand, and extra lines that are rare compared to most people and what they mean. she tried to explain it all to me but it was too much to remember. there is definitely something about it if the person actually knows what they're doing. there are huge books on this stuff. pretty crazy..

my grand father gave me a tip for dealing with psychics, ask them if they
can read past, present or future... most will claim to deal with all three,
when they ask questions... they should already have the answers

why thank you! and no I didnt pay, my cousin paid because she didnt want to do it alone. I know their tricks! I just had to see it first hand. The one thing she said about me that is true is that she said I was a free spirit.

Palm reading is like Astrology, which are both similar to Humpty Dumpty.

That reminds me of the time when Dr. Robert Atkins died of a heart attack shortly after introducing the world to his ground breaking diet, "The Atkins Diet."

I would like to get a palm reading for research purposes.

right
most "professionals" are trying to make a dollar and will put on a show and tell you what you want to hear (or at least what they think you want to hear)

I'm big into astrology and have done numerous experiments (mostly on myself) trying to decide if there is any validity.
I've determined there are strong tendency's towards patterns that can be plotted with a calender type system but it uses a very complex series of nested cycles,
and if you know a person well enough to understand their cycles there is no need for their star chart.
in short there is no practical application aside from planting/harvesting or birthing cycles

atkins didnt die from a heart attack, he was brutally murdered by vegan
assassination squads, they made it look like an accident, as though he
slipped on some ice and hit his head

science will confirm that our position to other galactic bodies plays an important role on life on earth.

it can confirm that objects can interact with objects light years away

astrology cannot predict the future but that hardly means it doesn't exist
unfortunately those making money off it try to convince you it's something that it isn't

both my cousins believed what the palm reader said because they said the lady was on point with almost everything in their lives!  I just think these palm readers are good at reading body language and learn from the different reactions from the things they are telling you. As skeptical as I am, I too was surprised by the accuracy of the stuff she was saying about me. But when she was getting into "my future" it turned into complete bs!

I know what a scam is, that's why I would never pay for something like this.

I control my future. But I don't mind letting someone pretend to guess it at no cost to me for the sake of entertainment.
