If you want a fast colonizer(sp?) I've heard alot of goot things about TLG's Creeper. Supposed to be pretty potent too.

i've grown amazons, cambo, b+, and malabar. i like cambos because they colonize fast, i like b+ cuz they're big, and i like malabars cuz they're strange looking and very potent imo(however, they don't yield as much dry weight). if i was going to grow another strain i would go with tasmanians(sporeworks) cuz i here that they develop a fast pin set and flush almost constantly with little time waiting for pinning between flushes. also, i hear that orissa india gets pretty big...so, it's all about what characteristics you're after i guess.

MALABAR Pretty species , unknown to me how well grows .

My first successful grow was Classic PF and even though I only tripped 4-5 times on them, I dont think any has compared yet( i have also successfully grown TC, and B+). A whole lotta mal-success lately, I sure hope this Creeper print pans out, I'll be making 4 syringes  (thats a few jars)

im pretty new to this and have only had B+ and treasure coast.. B+ is fast and required almost no attention to grow while its trip is kind of dull. the TCs took forever but off 50g wet it offered a fantastic trip

much as I hate to say it, no other strain has given me the ZZZIIIIING! that PF has. crappy yields, but what you do get is goood:)

The only mushrooms the guy in the movie I'm making (the shaman-hero) has ever sucessfully grown would be Mazatapecs. He says they are quite good for as much as he ate. He has tripped better from some commercial he has ate, but those had an unfair advantage; full dosage.

Cambodian sounds like a good strain....people have been saying it has large flushes and that it's potent. I have a question...are Cambodians a type of Psilocybe Cubensis? Do they require specific instructions or can you innoculate them into BRF mix and then case them in a 50/50 casing?

Yes they are a strain of P. Cubensis.
You can inoculate them into BRF cakes.
You can case them with several different types of casing material.
The Cambodians are one of my favorites.

Im liking the hawaiian strain. It flushes massively and the shrooms are just perfect in size. I usually get 5-8 inch shrooms with stems as thick as my thumb. My lasy 1st flush was a ounce and a half...Dry...The trip has little visuals but its a heavy mind fuck to say the least.

Without a doubt I'd say Treasure Coast (ive only tried sporeworks, but i assume others are the same) and PF CLassic. TC was very very potent, and i just grew in a myco bag. B+ is a close 3rd

surprised more people don't rec. treasure coast, maybe they just havent tried. ecuadors are pure fun, low open eye visuals imo. mexican cubensis are good too but they tend (for some reason) to offer some sort of strange vibe. i find gt to be excellent flushers but lower potency. i'd recommend (in order) cambo, ecuador, tc, mexi-cub.

I would have to say out of all I have experienced ( pr, cambo, b+, creeper, GT) I have to say the most fun I have had with visuals and all is GT but it could have been just the expieriance and not the strain

Tazmanians are my fav by far , source of them was MushiMush, This strain deserves more credit! wheres the taz people? :P

lift, each mush even in the same strain are going to be different .. we're talking about nature here. it isn't like taking a bag of pure chem and measureing it. each strain is going to be different, each mush is going to be different, USUALLY they are similar but its never gurenteed. also don't forget that everyone's mind is different, one mush that one person says is amazing may not "kick it" for another person.

actually I think the tazmanians my friend grew were worthless
I ate 14-15 dried mushrooms (small to medium sized) and felt nothing

If you ate 14-15 of the weakest cubensis you would still feel something. Much less cultivated cubensis.

Out of: Ko Samui, Lipa Yai, Pink Buffalo, Tasmanian, Golden Teacher, Ecaudor, Pf Classic, PES Hawaiian, PES Amazonian, B+, Malaysian, Treasure Coast, Argentinean, Orissa, Cambodian, and a few others,
Id say the only ones worth the effort were Tassies, PES Amazonians, Argentineans, GTs and Orrisas.
Lipas and Pf Classics were rubish strains

In terms of potency - tassies, PES Amazonians and Argentineans were the best.
GTs were a pain for get strong flushes from, but were also good potency.
Most of the other strains around are not worth the effort.
PRs were good too...

they were definately tassies, he got them from shamanshop before they stopped selling syringes
is it possible he is doing something wrong, picking them to early? He dried they using drierite? Its his first attempt to grow mushrooms, so I wasn't expecting much, but there wasn't anything at all.

very small caps for the most part. He picked them when it appeared the veil was breaking

I hate to tell ya if you ate 10 of those and didnt feel a thing they where not cubensis cause even the absolute weakest strain would get you tripping. The only thing I can say about that is somone sold him a non cubensis spore syringe cause thier is no way that wouldnt get ya tripping. I have a really high tolence and if I ate 10 7.5 cm long cubesis I would be trippin. I will only eat a dry 1/4 if I want to trip and that is a high tolerance. I assume you two dont have a tolerance like that but I dont know.

is it possible that his spores, the way they were grown just produced insanely weak mushrooms?

From what I understand it also depends on the substrate.
I have grown on rice and I have grown on birdseed. The fruits off of the birdseed were bigger and seemed more visual.

I totally disagree with what you say about thai lipa!
The ones I grew on birdseed were very, very potent and the visuals were tremendous!
Creepers about the same. They do not seem to be quite as visual.
