 contemplation of death while tripping

Hi everyone. Ive been doing shrooms for the past two months or so, and i almost always have a great trip. I try me best, at least a day prior to taking shrooms, to easy my mind as to ensure a great trip. This was not the case a few nights back unfortunately.
Im comfortable with taking shrooms alone, ive done it before and i always have a great time. This weekend however, i took abouit 2 grams of shrooms, my usual dosage. The trip started of great, then i went outside and smoked a joint like i usually do. Half way through the joint, my trip was almost in full effect. I was loving the scenery, the ice clad tree branches, the snow fall, all added to a perfect mental sanctuary. I then decided to extend my enjoyment by taking a walk. I reached the main street, and suddenly i came with a great feeling of paranoia. I felt like if i walked any further, something would come and kill me. I was so paralysed with fear, i immediately broke out into a sweat, my heart starting beating like a drum, and i was extremely paranoid, so paranoid that i walked home immediately, and kept wathcing my back. The feeling lasted the whole timei was by myself, finally i met up with friends, and had a great time again.
I was wondering, is this normal?

I have a tendency to get quite paranoid also...usually when I am out-and-about in the city while tripping -- which is why I either like to do it at a nice "safehouse" or while camping with the amigos.

yeah, when paranoia is mentioned, many people tend to think of paranoia that is easily dismissable but sometimes its so intense its crazy! I thought I wouldnt be to susceptible (sp?) to paranoia until the first time I had true paranoid thoughts on shrooms. I get paranoid on weed sometimes but this was something else!

Try not smoking pot next time and see if it is different. My mushroom experiences have felt much cleaner and freer of that stuff without the marijuana influence. It seems to induce anxiety in some people.

lol that would do it.
although, there is ALWAYS a point in my trips where I love smokin the herb. Ill start thinking about it and I love every aspect of it, I can never decide what to smoke out of. I just love to burn the green stuff, smell it, inhale it, exhale it..... damn now I wanna smoke.

herb induces paranoia for me a lot especially at high doses and its a waste to smoke it while tripping i think

the worse paranoia ive experienced with shrooms was WITHOUT pot...so that theory isnt true for everyone about it making you more paranoid.

Pot sometimes makes me think about things WWWAAAAYYYY to much.
Like I think, if there is a possible problem, I think about it so much, and just because it is a possiblity then it is so horrible blah blah blah.... and then I don't enjoy my high, until I find something funny, then its fun again.
but that only happens when I smoke to much.

I used to love smoking pot when tripping.
I wouldn't dare do it now.
Pot seems to give many people paranoia/anxiety...
It happens, don't worry about it. Everyone has their bad days I guess you could say

When I was tripping the only reason why I could get paranoia was
that I would get NO paranoia
