Bird Seed...can it be sterilised in the microwave or must PC

I have read some good tek on microwave steriliation but I have been told that grains have to be PC'd (you can't use a pot of boiling water) does this mean that the microwave Tek wont work on them? :confused:

Incrimental sterilization seems to be working for some.

If you do not have a PC this is the only way I am aware to do with out and still use grain.

a short time ago there was a growlog that used microwaved millet.
it worked, but i would suggest getting a pc, it will save a lot of headaches

i'd say the overn would work better than a micro wave

put some jars in a pot, with like an inch or two of water at the bottem, set over to 300, leave for an hour 15 mins

i've never tried this but my GF has done this when canning apple sauce and jam, its worked for her
