I've been away from the hobby for about 7 years, but decided to try a couple horse manure/vermiculite/gypsum mono tubs out. I spawned 7 quarts of WBS to 12 quarts of my substrate totaling 3 1/2 inch thickness for my sub. After I made these up, I decided to switch to coir since after collecting the manure, I had poison ivy all over my hands and legs. That kind of makes doing sterile work a little bit more difficult, so I don't even want to risk it again.
I went with the Lipa Yai - Thai strain, since I have grown it before. From what I remembered of it, I thought that it was a smaller mushroom producing strain like Treasure coast. Either I had a mislabled strain before, or these are just doing very well on horse manure, because these lil guys are fat.
Other than the uneven pin set, they came along quite nicely and its time to pick and clean them (my favorite part). I'm just going to harvest them in 2 waves. The middle of the tubs pinned and matured first, so I'm going to give the side mushrooms another 12-24 hours to fill out, then just pick them all too. I would pick them as they mature, but I'm going to be going on a camping TRIP this weekend, so I won't be around for a few days.
I took some ultra-mega crappy pics for your viewing pleasure. Should be a decent harvest, but I won't know the weight for a couple days.

Nice grow, welcome back. You can never escape the mycelium, it has already began to colonize your brain so it is a part of you now. Did you have to buy new cult supplies or did you manage to keep your old ones?

I know someone that I got a few prints off of. Thai Lipa Yai, Golden Teacher, Cambodian, and PES Amazonian.

I did, however have to buy all new tubs. Luckily a friend of mine just bought a house that came with 500+ quart jars in the basement. The previous owner must have canned a lot. Sooo, I got 150 jars for free. I made my own magnetic stirrer, and did LCs. Had to buy a bunch of new syringes too. It really didn't cost to much to get started again.
Ohh yeah. I also got this on craigslist for $45.

The PC on the left was free. The one on the right was the one I bought for $45.
Since everybody likes pictures, I have some more for you. Does this look alright? lol.
Here is my tub in the process of being harvested. Look at the density of these clusters. Good stuff.
I didn't harvest everything. I still have about this much in each tub. I'm just letting them get a little bit bigger before I pick, then dunk the substrate.
Here are the piles of fresh stuff I just cleaned. This is really only 2/3 of the harvest so far. (Bic lighter for size comparison)
 
I didn't really expect to get this much, but I'm going to be stocked for a while.

Well I have some more pictures for you today. In hindsight, I suppose I should have posted this in the grow log section, but here goes anyway.
I am pleased to find out that I got almost as much in this harvest wave as I did in the first.
 
I think it may take a little more time to dry than I originally estimated.

Amazing yield from that monotub.
I'd say that your Tia Lipa Yi is very well civilized and loved the conditions you provided.
I'm curious to hear the dry weight. My best first flush yield from that size tub was 8.7 ... I think you have more there.

Yeah, I'm still drying it all out. I have a dehydrator, but it only has 4 racks. The rest of it should be done by late tonight or early tomorrow morning. So far from the 2 tubs I had, I have dried 321g, so I'm also eager to see what the total is.
