Yeah check out sonique WHILE we're on the topic of animated fractals, check out these two animations I did early last year: 1: Right-Click and select "Save Target As..." This was the first one I ever made - there's a really cool part that I made go by too fast.. This one loops so put your media-player on "repeat" 2: Right-Click and select "Save Target As..." This one was only about 1/4 done when my computer crashed and all that was salvaged was this "preview" that I had sent my friend. I'll eventually be making new ones that will be WAY smoother and sync'd to music

rabbit hole was cool, altough not a fractal, but sonique didn't have a search function as far as i could see. and there's no way im browsing trough 20 gigs worth of mp3s... and cool videos, but to short... i can't trip to that i need something that recreates itself... like a real fractal, not just a video of one. but thanks to both of you anyway. not really what i looked for, but great!

^^ 100% agree.
Use utorrent, subscribe to the RSS feed of torrents, and have it setup to auto-copy downloaded sheep to your c:\windows\....\cache folder and it makes life easier
I got like, 100 gigs worth of those damn things.

The movie linked on that page, some of the fractals are the closest thing I have ever seen to closed eye Tryptamine visuals - WOW!

I also was a huge fan of Rabbit hole in its time. It was my #1 favorite. I deleted it since sonique sucked but unfortunately it isnt around for winamp. If anyone has rabbit hole for sonique lemme know! sonique can still be found online here and there.

If you like fractals, and who here doesn't, then Ultra Fractal 4 can be a pretty cool program. I haven't kept up with the latest version, but I think it's still mainly for creating still images. Although you can play around with it and still do some interesting things.
Of course, making your own fractals isn't easy unless you have a good understanding of math, and maybe computer programs or a bit of scripting. But you can always have fun and change other peoples work, and it's easy to get lost in that program for a very long time if you let yourself.
If anyone's interested, here's a link. http://www.ultrafractal.com/
