Tar balls reached Galveston Texas July 4th

one year prior

these may be some of the last images of the beach before the Oil Spill ruins the Texas beaches.

Come to the emerald coast and see what happened here..
Texas never really had nice beaches.. they were always super brown and mucky.

last time I was in galveston was years ago and it really was pretty nasty on the beach

yeah, Its because of the Brazos i think. But the water turns blue just past the breakers on good days. Sometimes it reaches the Jetties at surfside. Thats where the king mackerel are. Used to take my kayak out to choppy seas. Throw my line out the back and wait ashore with my pole. Thats how we shark fish.
