I don't have any idea about your honey, but here is how to sterilize a used syringe.

Boil a pot of distilled water in a clean pan. Once it is at a rolling boil, take up and squirt out boiling water in and out of the syringe SEVERAL times. After you have done that - and now only touch the plastic plunger of the syringe - draw up 10-12 cc's of water into the syringe, put the cap on the needle, wrap in tinfoil, and boil for about an hour. It should be sterilized after this.

That will deffinetly sterilize a syringe. A half hour will probably due, but overkill is better than contamination. Be carefull not to melt syringes when boiling for long periods of time.
