I had to read this book for my Religion and Popular Culture survey class I am taking this semester. This book is written in theory so it is a little tough to read, but I am sure it is right down most of the people's here alley. Berger explains reality as socially constructed and gives great support for the process by which we nominize, or add order, to the chaos around us. It goes into great detail explaining the subjectivity and objectivity of our existence. Great stuff.
-------------------- You are the microcosm of the macrocosm.
I read it in 1983, and used some of it in my Doctoral dissertation, in the chapter on the Manipura Chakra which dealt with, among other aspects, the social dimension of reality. The title was "A Phenomenological Adaptation of the Tibetan Buddhist Doctrine of Psychic Centers to a Metatheoretical Hierarchy of Human Motivation," Microfilms International, 1983.
