Yes.

When to mist though, is up to you. May it be 1, 2, 3, even 4 times a day, it depends on your environment that is created from the humidifier. If it gets the humidity up to 95% +, you will probably only need to mist the terrarium 1 time per day.

Its easy to tell when your casing is drying out, so mist it when it looks like it needs a little help

i used a ultrasonic
and i never EVER misted, and i got upwards of 2 oz off of 5 1/2 pint cakes

if u sent it up BEFORE you birth, and get the humidity settings right so that it keeps condensation on the walls to a degree (slight condensation, not dripping), then you'll be fine. I just ran mine for 2 min (gets humidity to proper level) every 2 hours all day. I even put perlite in there to stabilize the humidity. Worked great for me. I don't see a need to MIST and to use ultrasonic.

if it were me, i'd simplify things and use perlite and spray and fan

KISS - keep it simple stupid

works the best

imho:

for cakes: no, if the rh stays at 95 or higher. if you're humidity is high enough for cakes, what is the point of misting?

for casings: yes, because the casing layer will still dry out at 85 to 95 % rh.
