on Ld50 theres a speech about mushrooms and i was wondering if anyone new who it was sounds like mckenna

yup

it sounds like McKenna, but it sounds like they were playing with the voice alot too.. cuz moments it sounds like Mckenna and moments it doesent.. i wonder if it has any reference to who did that within the CD book.. if i could find my CD book.. i'd tell you, but its buried somewhere in here.. lol

Yeah, i've alway liked the music behind mudvayne but their lyrics are really meaningful also. Heres the lyrics to Pharmaecopia (to answer the question if they are interested in shrooms)...

Mudvayne sucks BALLZ!! There are a TON of better metal/hardcore bands out there!!

Post some lyrics, its content that counts. besides, mudvayne are amazing musicians, somehow I doubt that 'mastodon' has the technical skill that muvayne possesses!  :grin:

I don't have any lyrics to post of theirs at this moment cause I've only heard of them online. I don't put too much importance on what the lyrics are all the time, cause for me it's the overall emotion/mood that the music gives ME(not what the artist's intentions were necessarily), along with the actual talent that the musician's have themselves (since I'm a drummer I appreciate some of the more talented bands over the nu-metal b.s.).

You obviously haven't heard Mastodon yet, cause they are blatantly more talented and technical (especially the drummer)!

yes look on the album LD50 it has the chemical pics of THC , DMT LSD and Psilocybin
anyway Mudvayne is SOOO FUCKING GOOD I give them the greatest of respect
great music and REAL GOOD lyrics
you cant beat that

check out there website they are also into the hermetic order of the golden dawn
which to make a long story short is a group that tried to get all magik knowledge in one system (well whatever they wanted anyway)
crowley was part of it but they ended up hating him for telling their shit to the outside world

I was listening to Sphongle, a new way to say hooray last night sober and realized the talking im hearing in the beginning is a description of a DMT trip... I just realized that in all the times I been listening to it... does anyone know who is doing the describing?

I think I have an idea of who it is but I dont wanna say and be called a dumbass, although I prolly will be anyway.

You still didn't give any of those bands a shot? I use to be like you too, except my band was the Deftones... I loved those guys, and I still do they'll always be originals in my book! But I started listening to more and more bands that are underground and there are just a TON of AWESOME bands, and musician's out there... Mudvayne got real popular cause their music is more mainstream metal!

Anyone of the bands I mentioned would put Mudvayne to shame!! You like the heavy melodic stuff with meaningful lyrics try out:

Hopesfall - (Their EP)
Nothingface - (Audio Guide to Everyday Atrocity)
Poison The Well - (Opposite of December)
Also check out Norma Jean, they're badass as well!!
