My Christmas tree lights are on all the time for the last 6 months. No problems so far.

They should be safe due to the fact you HANG them on your tree which is flammable...
They are pretty low wattage as well. You'll be fine as others have already mentioned!

I agree with almost all the above but let it be said that anything plugged into the wall using electricity is a POTENTIAL fire hazard. always inspect cords, place cords out of "traffic" and don't put flammable stuff by the plugs, etc. really, just use common sense.

really? how do you see then? not being a smartass, my point is that you DO have to see in your work area and if you frequent your area much at all then that amount of light is all that is truly necessary. persoanlly, i do have xmas lights strung over/around a shelf system and works great for directing fruit growth (i don't want to fucking hear it about them not growing towards light fucking read page 112 of GGMM and proceed to STFU) and for letting me get a good look at my casings to see if they need any attention (misting/contams).

yes, who hasn't? what exactly is your point? does a flashlight not produce light? don't you need that light to see? if you are using that light to see your mush then are you not exposing your mush to that light? would that not be sufficient to initiate pinning? is that not what i fucking said? thought so... so what was your point smartass?

You are asking a direct question here. I said to get a flashlight. I simply said x-mas lights were not necessary for quality mushroom growth in my previous posts.

Hey this thread is from 03. Pretty sure they don't care about your input anymore. Look at the dates of the threads before commenting. Just a friendly suggestion.
Have a great day.
