Jet Dry!!! ( syringe making )
    #1283545 - 02/06/03 02:46 AM (21 years, 2 months ago)

I read a post in nansnook about using a drop of jetdry with 1 L of water for making syringes, to help suspend the spores so that they don't stick to the insides as much...

From the jet dry website

---------------------
http://homesolutionsnews.com/rbdocs/us/jetdry/faqs_page/faqs.html

What are the ingredients in JET-DRY? products?

Answer:
JET-DRY? products are a special combination of nonionic surfactants, a chelating agent, fragrance and dye.

----------------------

I tried this last night, and it seems to work ok, it gave my water a slight haze however, but i assume that this is not a problem.....

anyone else around here try this?

the MSDS (material safety data sheet) for jet dry stated that it's an inert material....use 1 teaspoon for 1 cup...alittle more/less dosent hurt. 30+ syringes a print with that method.

its only cloudy because all the spores are "suspended" in the liquid...let the syringe chill for a few days and it will clear up.

Holy shit.. 30 syringes in 1 print?????

I made 6 and thought they were hum hum.."" light.. "" !!! from a 1 inch wide dark print!

wow,, i was trying to get 1 drop in the mason jar i was using to nuke my water with and failed, i ended up with a dozen drops. i thought this would fuck it up, so i poured it out and started over again.. but you say a spoon full. so it's obviously not harmfull to spores!!!

thanks!

Helps keep spores suspended in water instead of laying in clumps , stuck to walls of syringe . Kinda like a greased bearing moves more freely verses one that is dry .

I can't say for sure, but i can't see it being a problem.... might affect PH a bit, strange.

Order a bottle online, it will last you a lifetime!!
