Fine tune touchups to the chronic tek

The chronic tek is a graet tek on all levels after giving it a whirl I have some ?'s.Can the chronic007 jars use a filter disk in them like the half pint jars.Tyvek is the filter of choice in half pint jars my friends use how bout adding a filter to the chronic jars well my buddy did but had to open most by hand for air exchange.Without a filter in these jars large uncovered holes are left yes good for air exchanage but also good for letting bugs in that will destroy the crops.I did say my buddy had to open most but not all some had no problems & never had to be opened for air exchange.anyone else have experience with this?any advice,tips,tricks?

yeah ..i use tyvek on my half pints and it works fine :smirk:

your main consern is keeping it humid...tyvek is good stuff but just get the plastic storage lids and cut 3 3/8in instead of 4 1/8in holes for strains that need some more air...fan the camber out like you would a cake too.(im not sure if tyvek gets wet if it rots or not?? over extended periods of time?)
