I HIGHLY doubt morrison tried salvia.  Salvia didn't come to the states until the early 1960's, and it was only available to a few scientists at the time.

Morrison died in 1971.  I don't think many people in the hippy movement, if any, even knew what salvia was.

Few people knew Salvia existed before the 1990s when it started being sold over the internet. Hofmann tried to isolate the active compound but failed, thus the hippies never used Salvia. Morrison certainly did not do Salvia. He would have had to travel to Mexico and seek it out specifically, which never happened. There was no Salvia in the US at that point, and no one was even thinking about importing it at the time.
