Terrarium Question
    #1281485 - 02/05/03 12:12 PM (15 years, 2 months ago)

My friend currently needs to put a terrarium in his grow room which is usually 45-60 degrees normal temp. I've read in the PFTek that you're not supposed to use a heating pad for the terrarium or any other heat source for that matter. But, as you can see, my friend really needs that terrarium to be heated at a steady 75-80 degrees in order to get cakes to fruit. So, is there anyway he can heat his terrarium without fucking up his whole operation?

Thanks,
g0d

Its fine to have some kind of heating implement. But for most folks it is not necessary.

Using a heating pad is perfectly safe as long you are smart about it. Put the heating pad (on low) under the terrarium and let it sit for a good 12 hours. Check the temp...if is to high adjust by placing towels between the heating pad and the terrarium. Just be sure to play with the settings till you get it right before you put your babbies in there.
