Peyote button
    #12804848 - 06/25/10 10:30 PM (11 years, 1 month ago)

I have a dried peyote button. The gentleman who gave it to me says there are white hairs that are natural to the plant that need to be taken off before ingestion.

I have never seen a peyote button prior to today.

It seems easy to just take the white hair off and pop it into my mouth.

What's everyone's take on this? How apprehensive should I be about this white hair stuff? My helper is saying the white hair stuff has a name that begins with an "Arrrrrr" (Pirate speaking).

I dont think the hair is anything to worry about. If you only have one though chances are it's not enough to do much and you might just want to plant it.

One button won't do anything as far as psychedelic effect so I personally would make art out of it. Maybe glue it to a panel and create a psychedelic collage around it. The possibilities are endless.

One button is not going to do it. You cant plant a dyed button. Its dead at that point.
Sorry man.:mad2:

Do what? I know it won't get you high, as I stated in my post. But as the center of a psychedelic collage it would be awesome.

I thought you said someone gifted it to you? That would of been sweet but someone tried to sell you a single peyote button? Weak.

Not really sell. I'd rather not go into specifics.

Nothing like this ever happened. Its all a lie.

Maybe the white hairs harness the spirit of peyote. That would explain why they're hard to digest. Too much raw power.

Or maybe all the alkaloids are in the meat of the button. Who knows, but I more than likely won't be eating peyote for another decade or so. I get too much satisfaction from watching them grow I don't need to eat them.
