Well, verm top layer is ok, harder to see when mycelium pokes thru.. but no big deal1!!
Give it about 5 + days ( in the dark ) and you should start to see it pop thru the top, once you do, you can "patch" the casing, meaning, add a bit more damp verm on top and let the rest catch up..
or
once you see it pop thru the top,, expose it to fruiting conditions and go.
This is just basic directions... check out the FAQ.. it's pretty detailed in there!!!
