When I use shrooms I light candles and then I talk to whom I call God.At the same time I learn how to be a more caring person, and I learn my own short comings that the shrooms point out to me.Then next day and so on,I will put what I learned into practice making me a better person. They will help you find yourself and where you stand with your GOD.But thats what I do and thats my opinon:)

Terence Mckenna recommends doing it in a dark room, in a large dose of shrooms. You should watch his youtube videos if you want to achieve maximum spiritual enlightenment

I've always done shrooms alone, and there's usually been an element of fun in it, rather than spirituality, ie. walking around outside in the middle of the night with no shoes on, laughing at nothing, laying on the grass and being unable to believe the beauty of the stars. But the last few trips I've felt my physical vibration increase to that a of a god-like level. I felt like the most intelligent, vast being. I'm sure if I looked in the mirror at that moment, I would have shit myself.

Simply performing the QC and LBRP seems to increase the clarity and intensity of a mushroom trip. After experimenting with pranayam on shrooms, I realized that consistent yoga and meditation are necessary for the body and mind to accommodate the energies involved. Mushrooms are great for Samadhis or Dhyanas. Though, while enlightening, they are themselves illusory diversions from Nibbana. Nothing wrong with dreaming. Illusion is magnificent, we should enjoy it while it lasts.

any way you use shrooms, you will be communicating with God, so just try to do it in a safe, comfortable setting and your good to go

I have done LBRP and star ruby on acid with good results. Also the same with meditation, I have found my trip in much more powerful during the time I am meditating.

wait, explain further. you can use shrooms for a samadhi or dyanha, but somehow they still further entrench you in samsara? Is that just inherent in using an external technology to facilitate spiritual experience?

Exactly, usually. Using chems isn't the problem, it's identifying with any technique. Samadhis do lead to recognition if they are not manipulated in any way, though if the states are pursued they only lead deeper into samsara. Nirvana is not a state it is a stateless awareness, an absolute antinomy.

I guess that's what drives spiritual evolution. You will never find one technique that takes you all the way there.

It's the journey not the destination.
I take the ceremonial Magick path, aleister crowley, thelema path. I have bee slacking, a siren which I call my girlfriend I blame for this. Not that it's her fault she is just not spiritual and she lives and works with me, so this leaves no spiritual. Me time, I hope shrooms will be a door for both of us to be more spiritual .

I always trip alone when I'm trying to accomplish anything serious. The most enlightening part of my trips are too personal and involving at the time to even try to put them in words. Sadly for me though, most of my friends stopped tripping altogether within the past 3-5 years. We were never into mescaline when I was younger, but after I had a few experiences with it I tried to share with them. I probably would have had an easier time convincing them to shoot up with some dirty junkie's AIDS filled rig. I didn't get any takers.
I know I could easily find people to take drugs with, that's not the issue. It's more about preferring to trip with people I've known for 20 years instead of 20 minutes.

doesn't really work that way for me though.. now ill take just a tiny bit and get my mind fucked sideways until it cant think anymore. when i come back from the experience.. i dont think the word "fun" does it justice.

Shrooms is good because it manufactures DMT in the brain, from intensifying nerotransmitters in the brain, during the trip. A good goal is to take the shrooms, and remember that experience and recreate it in your everday life. You shouldn't have to rely on drugs to keep yourself enlightened!!!!

The Psychedelic Experience by Timothy Leary is all aobut this.
I think of having you third eye opened from psychedelics can be thought of as "enlightenment". Then all you do is build on that until you reach nirvana. But for nirvana you'll need to meditate.
I think psychedelics and meditation go hand in hand. At the moment i am learning meditation.
Having you third eye opened from psychedelics is quiet easy - i must say. It took me 4 trips, 2 for one of my frineds and just 1 for another.

say what?
Shrooms effect the serotonin in the brain, which im sure if science ever did the proper biological testing there would be changes in the chemistry in the brains pineal gland and possible DMT secretion.

I'm pretty much a spiritual blockhead.
That said, there are two 'enlightening' things shrooms do for me.
1. Body energy realignment. If its been a while, the first thing that happens is I become aware of physical and mental 'tightness' in my body. This awareness is a bit painful, but as I go into it I pay attention to it and learn to relax it. (Note this is totally different from nausea and other physical side effects from the shrooms). This body letting go opens me up, releases my anxiety and I would say it is healing.
2. I see clearly how fear and desire manipulate me. Its very profound.
then without fail I forget these two things, or I remember them as intelectual ideas without the true weight of their meaning.

What do you think.. should you learn how not to forget or accept that fear and desire actually guide you ?
Is fear and desire something that serves to push us towards new experience.. or are they merely to be transcended ?
either way , i reckon there isn't much use in resisting it.

well its kind of hard to go into more detail without revealing how messed up I am
just as an example I moved to oregon and haven't changed my liscence, now its expired. I've been driving around without a liscence because of some weird anxiety about it.
My fear of getting caught by the police would be a good guiding one, but for some messed up reason I also have some irational fear/anxiety about getting my liscence changed.
Its kind of an extreme example but these sorts of things mess with me all the time.

Can't relate with you on that one. Im in the us now and all i gotta say is that ur cops are fucking sweethearts compared to what i've experienced back home.
shit.. one time i was drunk with a buddy on a really cold night. we wanted to get warm so we tried getting into what we later found out to be a place for the elderly and disabled. we basically made a whole scene cuz they wouldn't let us in to warm up at like 3 in the morning and we started buzzing on all the intercoms and woke up a bunch of old retarded people..
the cops were called. my buddy puked in the cop car.. and we just got a ride home.. that was IT.
also.. you have much more freedom to exercise your right in america. remember.. if you didn't break the law(or even if you did) .. you never have to talk to the police officers. talking.. is what gets most people in trouble.

going back here is interesting. I'm about to leave for the weekend, but I wanted to say something about resistance vs. transcendence.
i think i would use the phrase, "letting go" instead of transcendence, because I'm not really familiar with the word. Whatever it is, resistance is definitely the wrong approach, its almost like an attack on your self. Even if successful I think it just makes people hard headed, tough but not sensitive.
Somehow everything has to be accepted. I think this acceptance is part of what happens when I trip. Its also why tripping can be difficult - it forces me to see "my shadow", or part of it anyway. I guess I'm lucky in that I don't freak out and resist the shadow but accept it.
I guess psychedelics show me the ground I stand on, which is a pile of shit - but it is the ground, a point of departure if I could only remember...
All my memory of tripping is just intellectual. I become disconnected from the meaning of these words. I become disconnected to the meaning of everything. I think thats what spirituality is about for me, practices that reconnect one to the real meaning of things.
I'm just kind of rambling....
