I have a few jars (PFTek style .5 pint) that are filled with creeper strain. I was wondering if these jars are contaminated because they have like grease like water spots on it, and it doesn't look like any of the contam pics i saw on the FAQ. It defitnately doesn't look like mycelium(sp?) because in my other jars with creeper, eq, and puerto rican are doing fine. Hopefully i'll get lucky and the jars will pull through, but i just need input, thanks.

I like Infected Mushroom.

Sounds like bacterial contamination. Does it look like the substrate is melting ?
Bacterial contamination have a putrid sweet odor.

are you sure you didn't use too much water in the jars? A friend of mine used to use way too much water and there were spots (sometimes the whole jar even) that were totally shiny and greasy looking, but weren't infected. If this is the case, you will find that the mycelium will have a hard time colonizing the wetter spots of the jar.
