hello everyone ! i had great results growing under fluoresents but i ran out of them lol i have a few fruiting chambers goin right now and was just wondering if anyone every used cfl's and how they worked out?? and if so what k rating? like 2700k (for flowering) or 6500k for veg growth lol thanks for anyones 2 cents about this!!!

6500K CFL's are all I use. You want a light with a cool (blue) color temperature to best mimic natural daylight.

6500k nice....and i am apart of the growery but i am talkin about mushies not weed my freind lol but thanks for the imput...and you get good results with that cfl buddy???

i use a 6500K daylight bulb. compact flouroescents and flourescents bulbs will do the same trick. you'll just need to use a couple more unless you have smaller chambers.

do they have 6500k daylight cfls? or are you talking strickly fluoresents?? i cant fluoresents to cheap were i leave without doing wiring and what not which im really not trying to do lol i have 2 18 in bulbs right now but there being used but i have a few cfl's...2 6500k laying around thats why i was asking lol i very low on funds till my harvest lol :wink:

It has been shown over and over that 6500k is by FAR superior to any other color temp light, especially warmer colored lights.

To the OP, yes CFL's at 6500k are perfect.  Anything over 13 watt will work great.  Although the brighter the better.

From doing a search and reading up about lights I am very thankful I bought my 2 6500 k lights.

awsome thank you guys so much thats awsome lol i actually found a 4 foot light setup and the bulbs are 6500k daylight so im probly going to get that for my next grow im going to have about 4 fruiting chambers under that..oh and its a double bulb light so im sure it will work great lol :grin:
