grouch & eligh - everafter
motion man - pablito's way
phat kat - game time
and on some new shit, reef's new album is really impressive. pretty thugged out but he never disappoints. my favorite lyricist at the moment. the guest spots are all solid. all killer no filler.
hope that helps.

Collective Efforts is a group that's come to my attention lately... Also, when I saw KRS-One live it about blew my mind. There's a reason they call that guy the teacher.
I know someone said it, but Gang Starr is up there among my favorites. It's really too bad Guru just died.

I'm not much for rap at all really but Del Tha Funkee Homosapien (wrote clint eastwood for the gorillaz, Deltron 3030, etc.) is the SHIT.
Some of his solo stuff.

i'd recomend : tame one, saigon, rhyme asylum, immortal technique, diabolic, jedi mind tricks, celph titled. all are solid and consistently good artists and i think a good starting point for any one looking to get into hip hop.

what do you guys know about some piano overlord?
i can't find a video for 'springs arrival' but it's my favorite by that handle. that whole album is bliss though.
prefuse 73 aka scott harren is the aphex twin of glitch hop. highly prolific. i can't even keep up with what this guy's up to he has so many projects (with piano overlord being one of them). worth looking into if you like heady, quirky hip hop beats with electronic flavor.
one of my favorite harren tunes. dabrye - game over
another goody. prefuse 73 - keeping up with your quota

id just caution people to recomend only a few solid artists at a time, becuase you will baffle and confuse him by posting 20 diff artists.
