Fruiting
    #1277332 - 02/04/03 09:58 AM (14 years, 4 months ago)

Hey, I need some help. The problem is that my P. Cubensis strain PES Hawaiin wont fruit. Some details: The mycelia was grown at 85 degrees on standard PF cakes and took 16 days to colonize, at which point the cakes were put into a terrarium with a temperature of 72 degrees, and the humidity fluxuates between 97 and 100 percent. they also recieve 12 hours of light via a 7 watt bulb and whatever light leaks into the grow room. Can someone tell me what i can do to make these cubs fruit?

Wait longer.

My suggestion to you would be to wait longer before you birth your cakes next time. Wait until you see nice pins on the cake before birthing. This should help speed up the process.

I agree. I had EQs that took almost 3 weeks to show any pins. Wait for another week.

BTW Griz, how long have you been waiting for it to pin from the time you birthed it?

Different method , but not necesarily true . 3.5 weeks equals cobweb
My first attempt was so quick I was paranoid I grew nasties .
From spore to agar to issolation of strain to fully colonized half pint jar took 5 weeks . But that was me , and I am special .

Any information I give is not intended to aide you in the production of potentialy illegal substances !None of my exp comes from growing illegal varities , so take it as you will .
So with that said here is our mission statement .
