Picture
I PCed some rye today. I got some open kernels , but seemed to be ok...
This is now after PCing , do you think the rye is ok? It seemed very dry to me.

how long did you soak that grain ? it looks like it's germinating .was it like that before pc ?
oh well, if you pc long enough it might be ok .
moisture content looks good .
it would easier to shake if you only fill jars 2/3 full .

Doesn't look too dry to me. If anything i would say it is too wet.

I don't soak my rye and seed mix, just add water and pc, works pretty good and I got rid of the too soggy effect.

Even if it were germinating, you can still use it fine and the mycelium will eat it up. I had a previous batch that I left soaking for too long and the rye seeds had all sprouted. After pc'in them, it worked out fine with no contam problems later on.

looks fine, as long as you can shake
it up easily.

- Well Ive tried to shake it this morning , and the top was dry, whereas the bottom stuck to the jar.

- Usually this is not recommended , as the mycleium will contain the mold. But considering, that Im goona grow outdoors , Ill try!
