    #1276215 - 02/04/03 01:25 AM (21 years, 1 month ago)

also mycelium probably. Have a look, only the part that  wasent in the mixture  looks normal like before.I was told 1l of [whiteness.bleaching solution, blanching-liquor] with 200 ml water:) Have a look @ the image

Is that normal ? Or I should expect mush to grow only from this white part   :frown:

What is your substrate? It looks like it is only partially colonised.

I bought the ready cake, and it was fully colonised. Now the mycelium whit part has dissapeared, and in the mixture there was only vermiculite

It looks like partially colonised birdseed to me.Strange.

Are you saying that after you dunked it that the white stuff dissapeared on that side of the cake?

That's really odd. Mycelium isn't supposed to just disappear off the cake. It doesn't look like there was ever growth on that side of the cake. Hopefully it turns out alright after the dunking. Not sure what to say about the right half of it though. Good luck.

Do you know what they used to make the cake?

If the uncolonised part is verm. then you should be all right. If it is raw substrate then you will probably lose it.

I'd cut the uncolonised part off and case it in a big cup.

I use 3% peroxide. 25% peroxide and 75% water. I really would cut off the myc. and case it. Its easy to do.  It sounds like you have nothing lose anyway.
