Thought I lost my housemates cat

Its a stupid ragdoll breed. Bred to go limp when you pick them up. Anyway she's overprotective of it and never lets it go outside. When my housemate leaves the house, I let the cat go outside (only if it wants to). So I let it out earlier then go down to get her in after a few hours. The cats gone, nowhere I look in the house nowhere. Long story short I search through side streets in about a 500m radius of my house for a while - stressing the whole time that my housemate is going to fucking kill me for letting her cat out and loosing it. Come home to make some missing cat flyers... I look out my window and I see a white blob in the tree in our yard. Its her she's been in the tree in our yard the whole time... didn't make a noise when I was screaming out her name trying to find her in neighbours yards etc.
Fucking stupid cat, had to get a ladder from a nice neighbour and literally rip her off the tree. So fucking useless, I'm never letting that cat outside again.

every cat i've had would regularly go outside and be gone for awhile but they always come back pretty quickly.

This cat hardly ever goes outside, and is an idiot.

What's the facepalm for... she IS an idiot, she fell out of my hands once and landed on her back, and she always gets stuck on things because she doesn't know how to retract her claws...

Cats are smart when I lived on a farm we had tons of cats that lived outside in the barns. We used to try to get rid of them by dropping them off like 20 mins away from the house and most of them found there way back. I don't let my cats outside anymore though as they tend to get sick quicker when there allowed outside and not live as long.

If you ever get a cat, get a stray. They piss and shit outside so all you have to do is feed them.

I'm just glad that
1. I don't have to tell my housemate that I let her cat outside and that
2. She isn't lost.

Yeah we had a few strays at my old house, they were cool. Pretty wild but fun to play with. And if they get stuck up trees its their problem.
Couldn't believe she was in the tree the whole time, must have looked down and seen me going into neighbours hards calling her name out... Didn't think to make some sort of noise... Then when I climbed the ladder to get her out she was just out of reach and wouldn't budge... I had to climb right into the tree and grab her out of frustration.

Don't let your housemate's indoor cat out. That is totally irresponsible.

For real. There are many reasons for this:
1. Your housemate has probably not vaccinated the cat for outdoor diseases, and the cat is prone to get an outdoor disease with no immunity.
2. Ragdolls are expensive, and people like to STEAL THEM! This is a serious problem.
3. Only a cat that is usually an outdoor cat can be let outside without supervision safely, because indoor cats don't understand what a "car" or a "dog" is.
4. There's a reason why your roommate doesn't let her cat outside - because it's totally irresponsible. Outdoor cats die very quickly. Your roommate probably loves her cat and wants it to live a long, full, healthy life, so don't fuck that up for her.

Yea why are you so bent out of shape about putting it outside?
Leave the damn thing inside and shut your door if you hate it that much. Of course it isn't a genius, cats aren't really supposed to be.
Cats that have lived indoors their whole life don't belong outside.

No, you're an idiot because you disrespected your housemates' preferences. If I were him, I'd kick your ass and then kick you out.

Cats don't respond to calling out their names... You could have been screaming expletives and it really wouldn't have made a difference. Also, the bitches won't make a noise unless THEY want something.
I love felines though.

Yeah that's true. I just thought it was wierd I'd never heard of an indoor cat before. All it does is sit in the same spot indoors... So I thought it was bored. It seemed to like being outside though. A well its an inside cat now.
