I went for a hunt recently for subs and came across some really interesting specimens.
I'm 99.9% sure they are subs - wouldn't mind some confirmation, they do look quite interesting
realized there's no size ref in the photo - biggest cap is aprox 2.5 cm diameter

I spore printed these really bluey/green ones over night but they didn't drop many spores

Here's some habitat pics

I'd be curious to know if anyone has found a patch like this before It seemed to be growing out of a different substrate to the rest of the patches in the close vicinity - was more rotting deciduous leaves rather than gum tree and brambles debris.
Some pics of the patches close by these were more normal looking

and some area habitat shots

and some other species

hope you enjoy, also any feedback on photography would be appreciated
Thanks

Psilocybe Subaeruginosa Nice looking finds awesomeno. Habit can vary quite a bit as you have found out, even if you think they won't grow in an area check it out anyway, you may be surprised

yeah i was pretty confident that even if they weren't subs they'd be an active Psilocybe.
I've never seen them like this - i guess that's where some people might get the idea that "blue meanies" grow in sub tropical climates

Really jealous of sub habitat. Would love to hunt for actives in that area. Good work.

The trees are Eucalyptus.
If I were to guess at the species... probably Eucalyptus camaldulensis (River Red Gum)
