Just more proof that there is no god.

Why do churches have lightning rods. Either god makes mistakes, which doesn't make him god or they "believe" the rods will spare them his wrath.

You know there will be a lot of money appear to have a better one erected in its place don't you? The X'ns will get it done. Never mind about the schools closing in Detroit or any other more important things. There will be money thrown at this "disaster".

That's not really a fair assessment though, Christians do an enormous amount of charity work...even if they do erect giant gaudy statues.

Very true. Not to downplay that at all. I just read the school story this morning and it was on my mind. I feel like the Bloomburgs and people like that could give a few billion up. Like 4 of the 54 billion they have. You know?

They use that money though. It's not like it's locked up in a vault scrooge mcduck style. Someone may own a billion dollar company, but they also have thousands of employees whom they employ, and many of those people have employees of their own. They rent cars, develop property, and create new technology. It's what drives innovation in this world.

Why? Failure is an important part of everything in life. Businesses and governments can become spoiled just as children can.

I'm sorry, I've gotta stop hijacking threads.

My favorite part of the news video was the people who were all like "oh man, now I'm scared, sign from god, gotta be better christians"

Gotta suck to have your brain that compromised by mumbo-jumbo, but at least its hilarious.

I don't. There are way better people to feel sorry for.
I feel sorry for people working 3 jobs, living in the ghetto, and trying to support their mom with a fucked up back.
Those people got real problems.

I ain't gonna worry too much about someone who has to ask their dad if a bedtime story is real.

Lots of folks like this have faith if for no other reason than escapism.

QFT! Something like the hopelessness makes them believe that surely it must be better in the afterlife.
