Research Chems and Customs.

Ordered a gram of an obvious analogue (if I had any plans for human consumption of course), and it arrived at Customs (ISC NEW YORK NY(USPS)) yesterday at 3:23 A.M. How long do packages usually stay in customs, and do they work there on Sundays?
I know USPS tracker is a bit funky, but, any ideas?

I'm pretty sure they don't work on Sundays.
My advice: give it a few days before you start worrying your goods are lost.

even if they seize it i'm pretty sure they send you a letter letting you know and giving you an opportunity to go pick up your package (which you obviously don't want to do :P) that's just what i've heard online though

Okay, a notice was left on my door today that I wasn't available to receive the express mail package. Is that standard procedure for express mail, or when I go to the post office tomorrow will there be police waiting for me?

I don't know if it was insured, it was bought off a Chinese vendor who used EMS, it came into the US at NY customs, and then was shipped do my house via USPS, but I wasn't here so they left a message stating that I needed to come grab it.

On the slip they left what is checked is "Item is at: x Post office" " x Large envelope, magazine, catalog, etc" and "For Notice Left: x Express Mail (R)"
There is no X by "Signature Confirmation" or "Delivery Confirmation"

yes having to sign for an ems express package is normal. no, the cops won't be waiting for you there. if the cops knew what was in the package, and if they wanted to bust you they'd try and set up a controlled delivery at your house, with a cop/fed posing as the mail carrier. your good to go.
