that movie was crazy..but ive never had a shroom trip that resembled that....it would be cool if that happened though...maybe 5 grams+dark room and music

how come? after having some of the most nasty, intense, sickening and terrible bad trips... I have realized that those who can't handle them (and say shit about getting "scarred for life") are weak, weak people. those sorts of experiences result from taking more than you can handle, not respecting the mushroom, or just being a freakout-type-personality (being stupid with mushrooms). i get annoyed when people post shit like that. you know... treat the mushroom with respect, approach it with the proper mindset, and it will not do anything remotely close to "scarring you for life". be a reckless stoner high school kid and eat a bunch of shrooms to get fucked up and have it turn real ugly on your ass... and that's your own damn fault. MUSHROOMS ARE GOOOOD. scarred for life... haha.

I do agree that it largely depends on the person and setting....but i have seen people in a perfect setting with perfect mindset, have a terrible, dark trip. Just becuase your experience with teh shroom is a certain way, doesnt mean its not another way for someone else...everyone reacts a little (or a lot) differently to the shrooms. peace.

but even if you don't.... i don't think they'll scar you for life. i think getting "scarred for life" is reserved for really nasty situations like getting raped or witnessing a messy murder. being psychologically uncomfortable for a few hours due to something that was your own fault in the first place hardly seems to warrant that sort of description. i'm just saying that of all the nasty shit that many people go through in life and tough it out and don't let it get them down... a bad trip doesn't even compare.

Some people are weak minded.. some are just close minded. I think you're judging unfairly and already placing a sterotype on it. Was it absolutely neccessary to mention "reckless stoner hich school kid?" WTf does that have anything to do with it? Are you one of those stoner kids who's had things turn ugly on him.. cuz you even said you have had some terrible trips.
I totally agree with being in the right mind set and the right place with the right people is absolutely the biggest factor.. for any drug. And yes they probably should be more respected, once more, like every drug should be. But I think it's ignorant to say that people who can't handle their trip are weak people. Shit happenes sometimes. I have had a few experiences that have totally changed my way of thinking.. some which made me never want to do it again. I think you need to view things from both sides.

Hey some of the best learnig experience can come from the worst trip. If all trips where good then you wouldnt learn shit. So what if the darkness come just try and learn from it. Mushrooms do not scar you for life your own mind does.
If you dont like em just go and hide in the closet and be a wus.

Yes, you can learn from bad trips.. but not from bad trips only. Its called life.. trying being sober and just opening your eyes. You'd be suprised what you can learn. The point is.. bad trips arn't positive experiences, hence the word "bad" and not all people have a positive afternote or learn anything from it. I hope your not specificaly talking to me about "hidding in a closet." I do still trip on occasion and I have been scared. A scare is a lasting imprint, one that I have learned from and continue to explore.
Drugs arn't for everyone and I think you should get your head out of your ass and stop calling people weak or wusses cuz they dont view your side. I could call you weak minded for having to use them in the first place.. what you can't explore your mind without them?.. try using meditation you fucking pussy... but you know... I wouldnt say such a thing because i don't know you.

Actualy I wasnt refering to you but people in general there is a lot of people who are too scared to explore their own minds. But I am not supprised with the amount of goverment bullshit going around like L.S.D wil make you think you can fly, so to test the idea you will find the tallest building and jump. As for the hideing the closet and be a wus, sorry i wasnt referring ot anyone here I just basicly mean that I think everbody should try shroom at least once in thier life, but sadly most people are to scared.

yeah... i know my words are a little harsh. what i'm really trying to say is that sometimes you've got to just be brave when it comes to the psychedelic experience. in many cases, it does take some balls to handle a trip, especially when it starts to turn bad. from the bad trips i've had, one thing i've learned about the bad trip is that the one thing that makes it worse and keeps it going... is the desire to run away from it.

IMO that is the best thing about shrooms , or anything that changes your brain activity in such a huge way.... is that you almost have to force yourself over the edge, .... is there never that little thought on the come up of "oh what have I done to myself?"
Kinda like jumping into a really cold pool.... you know it wont hurt and/or kill you but .......... damn you just really dont wanna do it but you know its gonna be all good in about 20 mins when your swimmmin around and chillin and having the time of your life.

i just had my first mushroom trip, 2.5 dry g, 3 freshies (only like 3" a piece) , syrian rue, and a hit of 5-meo-dmt (yes i know, im nuts  ) . The visuals were incredible, with syrian rue its not very fluid, but everything jsut looks different, my roomed seemed like it was 30'x30' and its really like 12'x12', and all the wood baseboards were very dark red and detailed (there just normally brownish.), and i was with my g/f, and her facial features were growing and shrinking. It was an enjoyable trip, i wasnt scared, suprising considering it was my first time with mushrooms and a level 5 trip  . I saw my whole life flash in between my eyes, and it felt like i was submerged in some goo cause i felt like i was covered in slime. I will definitely try mushrooms again, but syrian rue just made the trip too long and it got uncomfortable at the end.
