Perlite cakes
    #1272970 - 02/03/03 07:20 AM (13 years, 10 months ago)

Well, if you had read my previous post you all know I screwed up and used perlite (instead of verm) in my first cakes. I thought this was a lost cause but I stuck them in the terrarium anyway. Today I woke up, and there are pins all over one of the cakes  who the hell would have thought?

Nice, nice!
What was the exact recipe you used for substrate?

Not only will it work in cakes but also as a substitute for verm in casings.

Glad I keep a log

Here is the exact ingredients I used.

2.5 cups BRF

8 cups perlite

2 2/3 cups water

1 Table spoon honey (disolved in the boiling water)

I also used fish declorinator.

I am posting a pic as proof, but it is of low quality I will try to get a better one when the first flush is complete. (That is if it completes)

Do you think they will be ok?

I threw away an old grow kit today and interestingly enough, it was a perlite cake.
Who'd a thunk it!

I am sorry to hear that. The avatar is actually the graphic from "pitbull" video games. So I think you'r racist group ripped that logo off from them. Kinda odd to point the finger at me for a WIDELY know symbol. I am the farthest thing from racist... Do you see my tittle? It says "Juggalo" Do you know a Juggalo is a person who listen to ICP? Do you know that ICP's music is focused on demoting bigory and racism? So for the record let me clear this up also. I am one of the best APBT breeders in the USA, and I run a LARGE pit bull rescue. This means I take dawgs that have been fought and rehabilitate them. I have been on several shows and conducted several interviews on breed specific legislation. I love all pits, just for the record so this is not misconstrued as me being a dogfighter next....

WTF?

Thank you guys... I really appreciate it. This may be getting off topic, but I do belive my reputation is on topic. By the way all the money I spend on food, shelter, training time, ect. comes from my own pocket out of love for the breed. Magesh, nice little lady there  VooDoo, your correct.... It's

NOT THE DAWG ITS THE OWNER
