I have a rubermaid container with 2 strains in it. the one on the left is pr and the one on the right is B+.. I cased them 2 days ago and they are in the incubater. Now they are cased with straight verm and in a couple of spot its breaking through strong. Should I patch the spots or what should I do? Keep in mind this is my first time with caseings THANKS FOR THE HELP

are those casings in clear containers with no covers? hard to see through. are you incubating in a high-humidity fruiting chamber? if yes or yes: you don't want your casings in clear containers; you will get fruit on the sides and bottoms and it will rot. you don't need high humidities for incubation.
as for patching or not: people have preferences, mine is to not patch.

If it is a clear container (the casings) cover them with duct tape or allumnium foil. As for patching, I say do it. I wouldnt really say its a preference. Patching covers the first break-through of mycelium, thus allowing for it to pop up in more spots, giving you a larger, more even pinset.

Ya they are sitting in a clear container. I'll put duct tape around the bottom.

You'll need it on the sides too. Any light can trigger pinning. They'll bruise very badly and begin to rot, which can lead to contams, destroying the whole casing.
