urgent asap question ASKiNG

my friend resin gave me some instruction.and according through those instructions i followed the FAQ. s. for my understanding i have got i little bit big amount of bulk substrate.according to the teks i can use 1/10 ratio .that is a god gift or somethink like that
my asking is very simple
1) i have got big ball verms and do i crack them with hammer..is the inside part of that verm can cause a problem. i don t think so also but who knows
2)i want to use it with peat again.not only with verm. i need an advice .why people always suggest verm here.

I'm not exactly sure what you are trying to ask but:

1. Breaking up big chunks of vermiculite is not a problem.

2. Verm has a more or less neutral PH but peat had a PH of 3-4 I believe. That is why people say to use verm.

The lime is basically a PH buffer to try and compensate for the PH of peat. The goal is to have a PH of 7.

And fugu, you are really hard to understand. I have trouble figuring out what you are trying to say with every post you make. nothing can just put you into advanced cultivation, you have to read, and grow shrooms, and after allot of practice youll become an advanced grower

Sure fugu.. lets see if I can give you a solid answer. I owe it to you for those awesome quotes. Vermiculite has the best water retention.. but it is very difficult to tell wether pure vermiculite is wet or dry... which could cause problems. so people mix it with peat moss or coco coir... they both hold water well, and change colors when drying out... so you know when to spray your casing. There may be other benefits as well... but if there are... somone else is gunna have to give u the answer ! I have had good luck with just vermiculite.

i make touchable place on my casings.and i use tweezers for just take a little part that place.i took it into my mouth. not mouth also my lips. thats help me to understand what is going to be happen on the casings.
so isnt there any benificial benefits for this 50 50 tek.

Fugu,

I would not put vermiculite into my mouth if I were you, its not good for you. Also, I wouldnt put anything from a casing or a cake that wasnt a mushroom into my mouth either, you may possibly get sick from contamination.

A casing layer is used mainly to retain moisture. Dung has too many nutrients.. I may be wrong,this is the best advise I can give..No, I think I'm right.
